DanBs Purple Kush auto grow off

If an when a split starts I could use raw honey and tape to hold it together and keep it alive? Or do I need aloe vera and tape? Guess I’m getting a bit ahead of myself

Both will work. A tape that can stretch with the growth of the plant is prefered, like teflon tape (plumber’s tape). Other tape also work, but they eventually they can create a “strangle” point.

Ok I have plumbing tape that’s good to know. And sry if I am blowing you up, just excited for this, I’ve got so many projects going it’s crazy, and I’m planning my next one lol making seeds :joy:. Wanting to use the manifold to force 1 or 2 branches to produce pollen imma bag it, while the other branches produce buds lol should be interesting

Since we were discussing this earlier…
Look what my White Iverson did:

So plumber’s tape to the rescue:

It works wonders because it stretches with the plant as it heals and grows (plumbers tape)
I also know that you should never use other tapes like @kaptain3d said because it has happed to me every time and it becomes extremely hard to remove without damaging the plant when it becomes a strangle hold and restricting nutrients flowing

Great thinking

Too bad I am running on a 3200/4000watt generator so not enough amps to keep everything with power.

Count your nodes, as long as you have at least 7 on the plant already remove nodes 1,2 and leave as much stem between nodes 6,7 topping just under node 7 will give you 8 main branches

So just picked up some landscaping pins bought 2 packs, will upload photos of Papaya Kush and Gooseberry syrup after snipping and training. Papaya Kush has only 4 branches, Gooseberry syrup has 6 but training started on bottom 4 , the top 2 nodes are not long enough yet for training. But if all goes as I think it will she won’t be very tall but wide..

@MeEasy @kaptain3d at what point with the autos do I let them start growing vertical?

With autos I don’t necessarily hold the branches down like this. I will use stakes but more to push the lower branches out from under the top branches. Sometimes the top branches might have to be held down a little bit but it’s just to help the lower branches catch up in height.
It’s a little hard to explain but I hope this helps a little

The Gooseberry looks closer to what I do with autos. The Kush IMO was stripped down too much for an auto. I would stop messing with that one and allow it to grow up.

Papaya Kush auto rebound/ leveling canopy.

It should be good :+1: I’ve successfully done manifolds on autos it’s just risky because some strains just won’t recover fast enough to bud out very well

Ah ok well this is the “test run” to see what happens, may do the top an lollipop next round not sure yet.

As I’ve said many times, there’s no wrong way to grow plants. Everyone has to play with the different ways until they find their own way. I explain my way just to give you another way to try

I appreciate all the knowledge you are willing to give me. Was just thinking next time wait a bit longer to top. The difference in grow of the autos here gotta train them different bc everything I did to the Gooseberry syrup auto is the same as the Papaya Kush only thing different is I had to remove nodes #5 to maintain an even canopy.
