Gonna run tests tomorrow, DLI,VPD, PAR. Light distance,power, idk just feel like something is off and my ADHD/OCD is nagging me lol so tomorrow is the day to see what’s what lol.
I’m honestly embarrassed at how this grow is going. I know better then to be making this many amateur mistakes.

So after testing and running numbers the only thing I’ve come up with is how I am mixing my nutrients… Mixing in 5 gallon buckets and apparently when I was testing I should have been testing in the bucket and not taking a bit out of the bucket.
In bucket it’s testing 1000ppm.
In my little container it’s testing 700ppm. Now I see what’s caused the burning.

So my post deleted itself…
After testing it’s my mixing of nutrients in 5 gallon bucket and testing is separate container.
Bucket=1000ppm
Container=700ppm
Also adjust lights to 60%
Like I was saying earlier amateur mistakes I’m so mad at myself…
Gonna get it fixed.

Dan, somethings not right I can get the same reading in the bucket or in a small cup taking a quantity out of the bucket. It should not change.

Then I’m not sure what. I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I got run off pH 6.3 and ppm 1400 now in all plants. I did a flush again and pH 6.3 ppm 1400 and dropping. Guess I will start mixing gallon at a time and see what happens.

are you swirling around your pin in the water and then picking it out of the water, shaking it, putting it back in the water, swirling around, taking it out, shaking it, put it back in and then it should be repeatable numbers. I’m thinking maybe you’ve got some kind of measurement problem With your pin. I get some crazy numbers sometimes and I’ve learned I have to clear whatever nutrient might still be left on the tip before I get good readings.

I’ve tested my lux,par,PPFD,VPD,pH,ppm even increased lights to 60% all of my tests the only thing that was off was my plastic 5 gallon bucket and my styrofoam cup.
pH was equal in both but ppm was 100/700.
600ppfd, 18/6 40DLI, 1.85vpd, run off pH 6.3 ppm 1400.
And the pH,ppm on run off on all 6 plants was the exact same.

I wonder since the Styrofoam cup was less if somehow it quickly absorbed some of your nutrients, I mean, somethings not right Dan it should be the same number no matter where you’re testing it

My run off I catch in a plastic container… Now I’m wondering if that’s what’s happening also… Will check on next feed. Will mix like normal and test in plastic.

I think testing soil runoff can be tricky because it’s gonna contain any contaminants that leach out of the soil as well and your parts per million doesn’t tell you what is in those parts per million just that there is something there even in Hydro when we test we don’t know which of the NPNK nutrients the plant took in and left the others behind. OK I’m smoking too much.
