Cracked the main stem by mistake and some liquid came out

Hi
I am a first time grower and today I tried to do LST for the first time, unfortunately when I bend the main stem a bit I heard a pop and some water like liquid came out on my finger, but I can’t really see the crack should I do something or just leave it be

thanks

Welcome to this great place ilkingtaddinja I’m only speaking from my own experience with splitting a double cola while messing with her, she was probably 4 ft tall anyways I just put some clear tape to hold her together and watered her. They are an amazing Weed, I also had purchased some training clips and while I was bending her around to get her to take the clips I was afraid I might have hurt her, well she’s strong and the branches are probably 1/2inch in diameter now.

My tape job looks like crap from this angle. Looked so good when I couldnt see it. @Bunger64 did you take the tape off ever or just leave it for good?

I just left it, my turn around cycle is short enough that it didn’t bother her. I just showed the Mrs. the one I had put training clips on they are still there no sense in bothering them.

You can dab a lil honey on the split, supposed to help the healing.

I have read that also, there is a lot of information on this forum.

I dont think there is a one of us that hasn’t broken a branch at some time. But unless it totally breaks off they always seem to do fine. One tough plant.

Right, could prolly take the broken branch and get it to root.

Thanks  my concern is that it is still a baby just around 10/15 cm tall and the main stem is quite fragile

We wanna see it!

@ilkingtaddinja Welcome!! If that pic is with the damage your referring to I’d say it’s pretty safe to say she’s a ok and will keep getting on!! If it isn’t-did I say high yet lol??

the pic is before the damage, but it still pretty much looks the same after cause I cannot see any damage on it tbh just heard a pop and felt some liquid will inspect it well tomorrow though

Probably just toughened it up a bit. She’ll be just fine.

Kushman Chiropractic! It’s good for them :green_heart::green_heart:

I broke one of my plants twice :face_with_peeking_eye:. I used plumbers tape. Tried a few others and they were terrible to try to wrap around and they stick together so easily where to me the plumbers tape was easily handled in the confines of my jungle :joy:

Look into floral tape. It’s not that wide and will stretch and become a little sticky. I also have an aloe plant for all the oh hell moments to help cover the exposed area.

This plant is much older and bigger. You can see I split it open pretty good. I cut a aloe vera leaf and used the slime from it to cover the split. Mostly protects it from foreign junk contaminating the wound and it does help it heal.

If the branch needs a little support I use Soft Tie wire to wrap and support the branch

That’s great, made me laugh. Talk about materials on hand. I hope it is a Duncan
