I voted first time around. Been on Lows journal for socializing and such. Great scenic photos, food, and guy can grow too.
The other 2 nominees i havent yet. Sorry.
The guys/gals who answer random threads that have a note book of text book answers or options i tried to read.
Anything sir Newt mentions will be spot on, Beardless and a host of others. I gravitated to a bunch of those.
How do you judge a journal? Growing? Social butterfly? Knowledge imparted?
One thing this family isnt short on, sucessful growers and the variety in which they are grown.
Iām trying to clone from a Fieldofdreams. Picture of a homade cloning bucket i saw recently. Kap, insert laughter here.
Personally, voting on any journal is like eating Lays potatoe chips, cant just have one.

Just like judging the BOM contest. Everyone thinks the bud pic they voted for is the best, yet other photos win. Itās all in the eye of the beholder and voter. Thatās the beauty of having a vote IMO. Itās all subjective, so letās just embrace it for what it is and have fun with it. No system is perfect but itās a way for others who might be new to get to see what other journals people are enjoying and getting good information or value from so they might gain something too.
Iād be way more concerned if one thread got all the votes.
Also, each member can only win this contest one time. So each month will have a new winner.

Am I the only one that is surprised and a bit disappointed with the voting turn out for the Journal Of the Month?
There are literally 100ās of folks that frequent the nominated journals. We barely get an average of two votes per nomination.
I for one think that the JOM is a great idea and had hoped that there would be a great many more folks interested in casting their vote.
Each and every entry is deserving of recognition which makes it a tough choice but we should still recognize the journals that have helped us, entertained us or just provided some distraction from the daily grind.
There are still a few days left before the poll closes.

Perhaps itās too late for the current contest, maybe there might be more voter participation if the votes were private? I could easily be wrong.

What gets me is that a lot of people are bitching every now and then about the fact that ILGM were only giving back to growers using their seeds. This contest is the moderatorās way of giving back to anybody, regardless of what they growā¦
If not enough people participate, the mods wonāt get the budget to keep it going, imoā¦
Whatever happens, I want to thank all the @moderators for their efforts! Good job gang!

Kind of like the GM dealership giving away a car because someone drove in a Ford. All of these contests are above and beyond. Not necessary but shows that ILGM believes in their products enough to give some away, Maybe in hopes of getting a few new customers.

Sometimes things take a bit to catch on I completely forgot about the new contest. Lots of people away on vacation right now as well. Just be patient I bet it gets better in no time.
