Now i need to figure out why my EC was so hight. I started with RO water and used (by weight) the ratio of nutes/water. Guessing i should use a bit less of jacks on the next batch.
Should i switch to distilled water?

RO is fine, it’s what I and many others use. What ratio are you using, and how much water are you using?

10 gallons water = 36g part a, 24g part b and 10g epson

Math is good. I’d say either the was math done incorrectly at the time, the scale didn’t get the tare before measuring, or the amount of water you are treating is less than what you think.

If all that is on point, consider the meter at fault and test/calibrate.

Depending on containers used they often misrepresent volume.

Well i found out why my ec is so high. I bought a new scale and everything on the old one is out of wack.

How long will jacks stay stable after it is mixed?

Until it turns cloudy and sediment builds up in the bottom. Sucks about the scale, but glad you figured it out.
