Checking on the #5NL. 3 of the seeds were slimy and squishy. The remainder are still in the closet. I had this same problem last winter. I’m beginning to suspect my closet (2 exterior walls) is too cool? I had the warming mat and got some too warm. I need to find the Goldilocks zone to germinate. Put another Skywalker OG in water this morning.

Are you losing them Once they’re in the medium? Or in paper towel?

I’ve tried towel and soak in water. They just never seem to fully open. I need to try another location but dogs, kids, etc.

What I’ve been doing lately, and it’s been working well since my garage is cooler, is I drop them in a shot glass with water and a slash of H2O2, and tuck it in a kitchen cabinet. I wait until I see a tail at least 1/4”-1/2” long. I then drop it in my medium.
You have to make sure the seed stays floating though. Don’t sink it

Well… after a day, I always tap them down so that’s intriguing. Never dawned on me that I might be drowning them. Thank you very much for the suggestion… off we go!

Sausageslinging Seedslaughterer, kinda has a ring to it Brother. I put the beans on the plugs overnight they show movement 2 days they’re coming up out of the plugs.

I like it. I’m in dark mode on my phone so I see purple and beige. Odd colors but they work.
