Man, that DOHC looks…frickin complicated. Wish you lived close, I could come over and watch. Our '03 Dodge Dakota just gave me scare - she started dying on low idle, then got a P1391 code on the check engine. Turned out to be the cam sensor. But I don’t know enough to fix that so it cost me $600.

I couldve coached ya through it. I was very intimidated when it came to doing this repair. I watched a few videos and searched through forums and asked a few questions, but i got through it. If i had to do it again, i could prob do it in a day instead of 3. The expensive part was the parts themselves. the special tools to set the timing i got off amazon for 40 bucks. Ive disassembled a fuel injector in a 7.3 diesel (only way to get it out to rebuild due to clearance) and pulled a few transmissions and done plenty of suspension and brake work. Heck ive even rebuilt the top end in a 3.0 but it didnt come close to this itty bitty 1.4.
If youre not already tooled up, id start if you want to do your own repairs. Im self taught. Ive never been ASE certified, its all been research and videos.
Most repairs ( engine work ) can be done with a basic socket set and wrenches. You gotta bring out the breakers and stuff when you work on suspension lol…
Long story short. Dont be scared. Do your research, ask questions, and shoot, hit me up on IG and ill give ya my number and we can research it and ill walk ya through the repair. Biggest thing is patience and not rushing. When you rush is when stuff breaks and then youre really up dookie creek without a stick

Ice N Baked by Mephisto Genetics…
So, went to the local head shop after a job and got a 45° Banger. Got home and the wife pulled in behind me. Its been a typical BS Monday for both of us. I showed her the new banger (i broke the other one) and she said let her rip tater chip! So, off to the bedroom we go and i whip out that brand new banger and started to heat her up… 30 sec in i finally let her start to cool off and load up a big ole dab of Ice n Baked that been curing for a few days. It hits the heat and i start inhaling… im barely able to hold it in and turn around and give the wife a shotgun, matter of fact about .3 seconds into the exhale i start the choo choos… im able to give her enough to get her coughing a bit and i hit my hands and knees hacking like a rabid cat coughing up a hairball… my eyeballs are popping out of their sockets, every vein in my big old bald ass head is patruding like a power lifter trying to shed his protein shake after a hardcore workout… my brain feels like its blowing out and exploding in a million directions… im gasping for air trying not to get sucked into the portal thats taking me to that “special place”… my wife puts her hand on my back and asks if i need a diaper for the rocket ride i just blasted off on… she said Elon would be jealous… i told her no… i just needed respiratory on stand by just in case i quit breathing…
I can hear the cat snoring… Chicken Pot Pie sure does sound good… Ya know, i just remembered it Monday and i dont even care.
