I have some friends who raise chickens and they gave me some feed sacks of dried, aged chicken poop. I mixed one bag into my raised bed vegetable garden. I still have another sack I’d like to use for my cannabis plants. Any suggestions on the best use? Mixed in the soil? Sprinkled on top during the grow? Dissolved in water and used that way?

Just make sure it has aged while moist enough to break down, it’s way too hot til it cools off. Rabbit droppings work right out of the rabbit, horse is ok, all others need to age until cooled off.

It’s dried into a fine, light brownish powder, with not too much stink. I dumped a sack into one of my compost bins and I’m going to add dead leaves and lawn clippings with kitchen scraps to see how that comes out.

Just an update, I’ve been mixing one solo cup of dried chicken poop to a gallon jug of water. I let it sit for at least 24 hours to dissolve well, then water my plants with it. They have been liking it and with the warm humid weather, their growth has been great.

Sounds like they’re responding well to it. I’d just keep an eye on the concentration since chicken manure can be pretty strong, but if the plants look healthy and growth is good, seems like you’ve found a mix that works for you.

You may want to reduce your feeding once in flower and introduce fruit bat guano for the P and K.
