Cat’s Runtz Grow Journal (featuring monster-cropping)

@CatDadPower

Is that the Mars light? Nice light whatever it is…I just put a new bar light in my AC 4 x 4 tent, haven’t started anything yet. Put the SF4000 and the AC 4x4 light in the other 4x4…lights are not any longer an issue. :metal: :metal:

That’s the MH FCE-6500. Key letter being the “E” which is the more “economical” version of the FC / FCE series from MH. Even though it’s the “inferior” light of the two (as far as spectral readings and LED chip composition go) the FC-E puts out more wattage than its FC sister (720 watts). Not to mention it’s much cheaper, so for me that was a perfect step up from a quantum board.

Nice, great light. Some of my YouTube growmies have been talking about that one. If I get in the market, I will consider it. Local grow house has a guy that is building them to compete with HLG but 20% less $$$

@new2-420 Green-beams makes a GB4 for $387, and a GB2 for $189…good lights and cheaper than HLG or Mars. @SynysterChris got one I think and he’s happy with it!

Thanks Growmie…I’m set right now though. I have 2 (basically) SF 4000 and a bar light that hits wall to wall that a local grow shop is having a guy build. Builder is out of Richmond and trying to hack away at the HLG gold bar. It’s a great light, comparable to Diablo, it cost me $700, which I thought was good.

Good to know! Eventually I’ll need a second set of bar lights and I definitely like trying different brands.

Flower Flip!

Picture update!! About a week into flower. Already filling in extra nice.

Runtz Seed-Grown

I have been using Yucca extract to help fully saturate my plants when watering. Runoff PPM is still in the upper 1000s and lower 2000s so nothing to add except water to about half of the girls today. Using this, I’ve been able to stretch watering sessions between 7-10 days on average.

Don’t they look so pretty and perky the day after a good watering? Starting Week 2 Flower tomorrow.

Thank you!

By keeping the mother to all these clones outside, I’ve been able to observe how my indoor girls will react since she’s about 2-3ish weeks ahead.

Love me some good Stona Tomatoes :sunglasses: I’m feeding purely by sight and feel, hopefully she’s looking healthy!!

I just searched “styrofoam tomatoes” and you’d be amazed how easy it is to find them on Amazon. Between that and a cage. It truly is hard to see if you’re not looking for it, especially in veg and early flower. Glad you like the little trick! :grinning:

Newbie question. I’ve seen some people repot and some people start in the pot they’ll finish in. What are the pros vs. cons? On my first try and repotted 3 time and I believe that hurt my plants. They flowered way early.

And if you’re feeling generous - a little more details on cropping runtz from seeds. Or did I miss that?

The YouTube channel Welcome to the Grow Tent is the sole reason I went from the results of my last grow to the HUGE improvement seen during this grow. I like this grow style because in my opinion, it’s the most beginner friendly. Fewest nutrients and messing around hands down. I follow everything in these videos to an almost perfect T. If you do watch them, make sure to watch the entire playlist series.
