Can someone help identify these bugs and how to cure

2 days after spraying and after awhile today with a close inspection I think I’m bug free for now :crossed_fingers:no signs at all…will follow up another spray in a couple days to make sure

Had to bring the autos inside from the hothouse for a couple days super bad weather so I blew the dust of a couple t8,s I had laying in the garage

Anyone know if it be ok to leave the t8,s on 24/7 for 2 days until they go back out ???

Some are older then others and I didn’t bother lst cause I’ve never done it b4 but will next grow :love_you_gesture:

Yeah it will be fine for a few days. T8 is a bigger version of T5 :+1: … only thing I would suggest is trying to capture more of the light… maybe build a temp surround around the plants

@Chriso

Here is some info on T8s, T5s :arrow_left:

Click on “Lighting” :sunglasses::facepunch:t2:

Also great news on getting rid of the pests :hugs: must be a good feeling

In my opinion, you should follow the outdoor light cycle in order to not stress the plants.

I agree with AAA on following the outdoor lighting cycle . I used peroxide and it did not work very well on the thrips , and I don’t recommend alcohol as that did not work either . Safer soap or Spinosad should work the best . I used Azamax with good results but you have to drench the soil not just spraying the leaves . From now on I’m pretreating all soil before it is used and every plant will get a layer of Gnat Nix . GF has house plants and any new plants that she buys will be treated and isolated elsewhere before entering our home . This has happened twice once with Gnats and now Thrips . She had one plant that had like 50 little centipedes just under the soil surface . One treatment of Azamax and they are gone . I’m declaring a war on bugs this year . I hope you find the right stuff . Good luck .

Any of you fellas know what this plant crown is doing I know it is a defect of some sort but what will it do is the question ?

Also these 3 are 52 days from popping up I’m thinking something is wrong they should have a ton more weight yea ? It’s like there 30 odd days old not 52 2 went tall as one stayed short

For the crown, looks normalish to me. What’s the defect? I can’t see it.

The other plants do look a little skinny. Are they getting full sun? If they are in a greenhouse do you have a fan blowing on them? I’m thinking the stalks are skinny because they aren’t getting blown around.

@AAA na I don’t have a fan on them in the greenhouse I just have the door open in the day time for the sun and close up once sun goes down been having a lot of wind the last few weeks here hence the reason I didn’t bother with fan but geuss il chuck one in there and leave it on 24/7 from now on…just not sure if the plants will fill out and il just get pop corn :man_shrugging:

The other plant I was talking about the top has gone up left

I get you. Those ones that have the stagger pattern of branching can make some heavy yields.

You need to be careful of stagnant air in greenhouses.

Do you have other plants that have bigger buds to compare to, or are you concerned because all your plants have what you’re considering small growth?

I usually just try to make sure my plants are healthy and whatever they do, they do.

F…k me now I got gnats in the soil little black flies things how do I kill them fellas should I just spray the soil with the prthyeum stuff I got rid of the thrips with ?

Food grade diatomaceous earth. You cover the top of the soil I believe. You can use glue traps to catch the ones flying. The DE will kill them as they come through it, more or less.

I let the top of the soil dry out, usually takes care of them.

But, sticky traps, diatomaceous earth, and removing the top layer of soil and replacing with dried clean soil will all help/work.

I use this…top dress all my plants with it from seed and when potting up I will top dress and water it in. I use it proactively now to stop them from reproducing.
BTi has little critters that awaken and then kill the gnat larvae that they leave in the top of the soil.

Hope this helps and HAGD
