CaliRob’s 2nd Grow

I will definitely not be filling it up with the full 12 gallons. Sounds exhausting just thinking about doing that.

Will for sure go your route of mixing 4 gallons in a bucket. I have my measurements together and written down per gallon so it should be easy from here on out.

Thanks for all the help Fiz

Holy crap! What a few days of the autopots and some nutes have done for the girls. Now I know why you love these things @Fiz

Excellent! You’re on your way. They look great!

They just keep growing and growing! I am amazed every time I open the tent.

I put a pump in the autopots tank to help keep all the nutes from settling. It’s been a good addition,

Looking for a little advice here, I am trying to figure out when I should flip from veg to flower.

I started the seeds on 10/4, transplanted into the autopots 10/21.

So if I go off of transplant date tomorrow will be the beginning of week 6.

At what point should I be flipping?

This is their current state, I can get some actual measurements later.

I usually flipped based on room in the tent. I like to go as long as I can to make them bigger. You can figure twice the height from flip to harvest… but I haven’t grown inside for a while LOL… I think most were around the 6-8 week mark… depends on what timing you want to harvest at too.

Thanks! That’s good to know, I will probably give them another week or so.

Carmela is 16 inches and Cici is 13 inches.

I’m in a 3x3 tent now so I have some room. My biggest thing is head space with the fan and light hanging.

Yup that’s where the problem comes in lol

Heading out of town for a few days and will be flipping to 12/12 when I return on Saturday.

Trimmed some of the bigger fan leaves to start allowing light in some other parts of the plants.

I gave the leaves to my chickens as I was reading they are very high in protein and good for them. They absolutely devoured them

@Fiz when you flipped did you make sure the autopot reservoir was empty or did you just add to whatever water/nutes were in there?

I tend to run mine pretty low then top off. That’s likely not best practice, but so far so good. Your plants look super healthy.

That’s funny, rasta chickens!

Thanks Fiz!

I put 2 gallons in on 11/26 and another 3 on 11/29 just to be safe because I knew I’d be busy. I checked the tank yesterday and I should be good until I get back home Saturday. I will just let the tank get low then flip and use the flower nutes.

Man, those damn chickens loved those leaves, great to know for the future when I need to trim some more.

Gonna come out one day to this

LOL… yeah, that’s funny that they loved the leaves! I keep hering that deer will eat your plants but I’ve left male plants outside and I’ve put all my trimmings out for them to eat… nothing… they walk right past it.

Ok, that made me cackle louder than your hens.

Having had my little Odie eat half a size 0 capsule filled with decarbed weed - which pretty much paralyzed him for a full 24 hours! - he looks around for leaves when I’m in the grow room. He carried one out the other day, the scamp.

Maybe my chickens are just potheads :joy:

Haha Odie is addicted and mama is growing that good stuff!

If I was your neighbor I’d throw a few leaves over the fence to keep Odie happy

Got back home today and checked on the girls. They just keep growing and growing.

Tomorrow will be their first 12/12 day. I’m pretty excited to see how this goes.

Here they are

Since the beginning she has always had some yellowing/discoloring but she’s growing.

They look great! As if they are getting ready to flower too. Lots of bushy branches.

Thanks Fiz! It took a while and a lot of sacrificed seeds to get here but I am very excited to see these girls bloom.

At what point would you suggest trimming back some extra foliage for light and air intake on then bud sites?
