Weird, you’re so much colder than we are up here in the hills… maybe it has to do with the humidity from the rivers?
Thermocline maybe? We see that here. It was colder downtown last week than where we are by 10F. Once a breeze starts up it equalizes pretty quickly. (We saw -17F last week)
Ack!!!
Been running two 60 watt rechargeable LED lights at night for our volunteer, 29 degrees last night, supposed to warm up a bit at night with rain showers coming Friday hopefully
Impressive growth for the temps on the lil volunteer Brother.
Thank you, much appreciated
This is going to be an incredible grow once thing warm a bit. Congrats on this volunteer.
Thank you @Dforce Cake Day cheers
Update time…
The clover is starting to flower a bit. I have been running the rechargeable lights at night.
What size bags are you running??
These are 200 gallons i’m thinking of changing the configuration a bit in this part of the garden this year. I have no idea if the volunteer is male or female yet, been running rechargeable LED lights at night. Maybe next month around the Spring Equinox, I am eyeballing starting germination on April 2 or the third, waxing crescent moon in the sign of Gemini
I have some ILGM Afghan seeds that I found in the refrigerator, I’m gonna try to germinate some…
I’m thinking I’ll use one 200 gallon bag, fill a 100 gallon bag and maybe two fifty gallon bags…
Cool I love it! I didn’t know this was an outdoor thing
This plant started growing on its own, seed was in a bud that fell off during harvesting, we had enough rain for it to sprout voluntarily in the bud. Once I spotted it I added mini greenhouse and night lights. I hit it with Vitazyme and superthrive once, no other products. Impressed with the vigor and will to grow despite the cold, I plan to use the pollen if we have a male, or keep it growing if we have a she, and breed with the right male pollen. I am thinking 3/20/25 Spring Equinox I will stop using the night lights.
I might wait until May if weather not right, I will be using a mix of regular and feminized beans.
Volunteer update… it hit 72° here today, 9° above average, had to water today
Nighttime with lights…
This is going to be interesting once things get going. I’m hoping for a female giant.
