Well, just sampled my white widow that got attacked by aphids!!! It was pretty good, no bad taste. I can’t wait to smoke the clones which if every thing goes alright, they will be fantastic!!! @Myfriendis410 @fano_man @Drinkslinger @Covertgrower @MattyBear. I think I will wait until I grow outside to get the praying mantis.
Happy to hear they turned out.
great I’m glad you got er done
I cant wait to smoke some good home grown it feels like it’s been forever …well it has been a while
I hope somebody can recognize these bugs. Just found them on the yellow stickers in my plants. Spray the plants with peroxide and water.@fano_man @covertgrower @MattyBear @Myfriendis410 @Covertgrower
PM onNot sure, could be gnats? @imSICKkid @MattyBear @dbrn32 @Myfriendis410
Fungus gnats. Top dress your pots with 1 to 2 inch layer of gnat nix. It doesnt bother your plant or mess with ph.
Yup. I agree with @imSICKkid I’ve used that stuff in the past and it worked great
I’m gonna also call a mosquito is in the one pic…the one with skinny abdomen he just ain’t full of blood yet
One is a mosquito. No idea on the others.
Can I ask a silly but relevant question? I have confirmed I have some fungus gnats in my indoor grow, but it seems to be that they are having no effect on my plants. Given that they are currently in the flowering stage, so not overly keen to do anything untoward to the plants, is it one of those things I should be able to accept and move on? Had for a couple of weeks now and see no ill effects to the plants.
The larvae eat your roots. @AcesHigh
Yeah I’ve done a lot of reading of the subject of fungus gnats and well aware of the effect the larvae have of the root system (vs the adult mature gnats that are just cosmetically bad seeing them fly around) but as a I say there seems to be no adverse effect on the plants as far as I can see. This is what has me baffled. I won’t sit here and wait for someone to say “yay!! You have fungus gnats, how lucky are you?”, but my original question still remains: if there seems to be no adverse effect on the plants, is it worth doing someone at this late stage of flowering?
were does the mosquito come from, it is winter here in Vermont
No idea but that’s what it looks like.
must be a vampire bug Well anyways it is a bug, and I am not near a store but I will order the gnat mix, My soil is not overly wet. Maybe they were in the pro-mix, We just bought it. I sprayed the plants with peroxide and water and I will be putting Diatomaceous earth on the soil!!! Seems like you always have to expect the unexpected when growing pot plants.
It’s always good to have a plan: that way you have something to change haha!
I had bugs on my last plants
I don’t know about you but I would try to get rid of the bugs. Your plants may look nice right now but they can change pretty quick. I would do all I can do to get rid of them before Harvest. Then wash them in the water and peroxide mixture. I had
aphids and they were sucking the crap out of my plants I did everything I could do to save them and this was two weeks before Harvest. Then I did a wash with water and peroxide. And what was left when the aphids got through with them we got some decent smoke but it would have been better if I had known the bugs were there and fought to save my plants earlier. good luck
Good day.
Please see photo. This big is starting to eat away at my outdoor autoflower Super Lemon Haze). I have not done anything more Aside from treating the surroundings and pot with neem oil.
She’s about two weeks into flower so I’m a way from harvesting. With limited resources at the moment, will peroxide with with water do the trick of getting the bugs to leave?
@Covertgrower @MattyBear @Nicky @Shadesfang
Any and all assistance is appreciated.
Yes hydrogen peroxide will work.
