Well said @Ontrack! All of these entries are worthy IMHO, it’s an honor just to be considered!

Good luck! Very worthy buds all!
@StickyFrostyBuds congrats. what a close race.
why did only 35 members vote?
Very good question @BudzMS . Congratulations @StickyFrostyBuds . Very well done, Sir.
Way to go @StickyFrostyBuds !!! Two great contestant, tho!
@BudzMS Good question! Definitely disappointed in the number of voters, but mostly just mad at myself.
First and foremost, let me congratulate @StickyFrostyBuds for a well deserved win! That’s a beautiful specimen of what we all strive for, and you nailed it. It was an honor to compete side by side with you for the win. That bud could win a lot of contests.
And now, time to rant. At myself. I thought about never mentioning this, but maybe it’ll stop someone from repeating my ignorance. Read on:
For the original BOY, (as well as the September BOM that I won) I did not vote. Not for myself or anyone else. Why? I didn’t want to vote for a bud that would beat me, and it “just didn’t feel right” to vote for myself. Pride, ego, who knows. It’s just the way i was raised 61+ years ago. My dear Momma (RIP) would call voting for one’s self as “tooting your own horn”. I’m still trying to do what you taught me Momma…
If I would have voted for myself for the BOY, I would have won by one vote and there would be no tiebreaker. For what it’s worth, I did vote for myself for the tiebreaker, and lost.
I’ve mentioned this scenario to several friends during the tiebreaker, most said I was crazy for not voting for myself. A couple of older guys agreed with me. A generational thing? Who knows…
So, in closing, vote for your own entries. No matter how close you think the contest may or may not be. Period. One vote can be the difference in winning. Congrats again @StickyFrostyBuds. This is your year, go enjoy it!
Both beautiful buds! Congratulations @StickyFrostyBuds and the best part… now you get to smoke it!
Congrats on winning 2022 Bud of the Year. Congrats to all those who entered throughout the year.
Some beautiful entries,
@StickyFrostyBuds Congrats on a well deserved win. Very close race again!
Excellent buds on all fronts everybody should be proud of themselves!
Thanks @Ontrack
IMHO there’s no shame in voting for yourself…folks who do this understand the level of effort each one of us puts into this, and the pride and excitement we all explode with when we succeed. Heck, I still feel like a kid on Xmas morning come chop day! The way i see it is if i can’t endorse my own work with a vote…maybe noone else should.
Just wish we could all get together, roll 35 big BOY salad joints, partake, and talk about this wonderful hobby in person!
Great entries, fun competition, and a welcoming growing community for all! Lets keep it up in 2023!
Congrats @StickyFrostyBuds on a superb herb!
The tie breaker almost needed a tie breaker.
Congratulations @StickyFrostyBuds ! Very beautiful work
Congrats @StickyFrostyBuds. Hard fought for the victory!
Congrats @StickyFrostyBuds ! Well deserved bud for BOY
We almost needed a tie break for the tie break! Congrats @StickyFrostyBuds and @Ontrack! Here’s to 2023!
Nice win! I was the first one to vote. @StickyFrostyBuds
First and foremost, congratulations @StickyFrostyBuds - outstanding specimen worthy of the title.
I did not vote for myself for a couple BOM entries. I realized after a while that participation varies so heavily from month to month that one vote makes or breaks a contest. Even when I don’t enter, I make a point to always cast my vote. I do often vote for myself, but sometimes when the competition is fierce, I vote for the truly best bud with no expectation that I’m even in the running.
It’s a pride thing through and through, but it’s easier to swallow every time you see the polls with 20-30 voters and 20-30 gorgeous buds.
I checked this morning and was 4 hours too late! Ug!! I would have voted for @StickyFrostyBuds anyway. Congratulations!
