Just a quick update on the girls! The zkittlez is doing amazing, and I’m going to be flipping her tonight when she wakes up. Should put her finishing about 2 weeks after Orion comes out of the dry tent.
The Orion has been struggling a little, and I didn’t have a lot of time to figure out what the culprit was. So I had a little time last night and found her root zone and soil temp 68-72. She has been running around 77-78° air temp, so my conclusion was that the garage floor is too cold. I dont have time to build a frame for the tent to sit on right now, so I just slid a heavy wool moving blanket under her. Over the course of the night, her root zone has gone up to 77-86° and she looks much happier. I am just measuring the outside of the bag with a temp gun, so this is not true root zone temps, but it does give an idea.
Just a heads up RQS has a free fan pack for black friday that comes with 3 Titan F1 seeds. Have to register on thier website, easy enough and no minimum purchase amount, it’s with every order. @Newt did you order your titans?
I have some already, and was planning to pass on these, then Mrs. Newt mentioned that she splurged on herself a bit, so said I had a no-questions Ben Franklin do do anything I wanted with… So I’ll likely get some more.
To the untrained eye, guttation (or xylem sap) can look like a huge bonus globule of potent resin. Unfortunately, it is merely plant sap, produced by a similar process that creates Maple syrup when a tap is drilled into a mature Maple tree.
During the evening (or the lights-off period for indoor growers) the stomata on the undersides of the cannabis leaf close shut. During daylight hours, the stomata tend to be open allowing the plant to release moisture - a necessary part of photosynthesis.
Closed night-time stomata, in combination with possible high humidity levels, force the plant to squeeze the xylem sap out - mainly because of root pressure. The result is small droplets, often with an amber hue, which appear on the buds and leaves. The first time many growers see cannabis guttation, or xylem sap, they often think their plant is dripping in psychoactive THC-rich resin.
Guttation will turn into mold and bacterial contam. I bet I throw a lb of weed a day away due to it, at work. It would be wise to discover the conditions causing it and eliminate it as it can and will trash your curing weed.
It’s all good doc! I wouldn’t have thought about it during flower if you didn’t mention it. I had never heard of it so all information is super helpful.
Things are still crazy as all get out, but getting better on all fronts. MIL has surgery today, so hopefully, all goes well on that front. Another note, christmas was my grandmothers and my wifes grandmothers favorite holiday, so I have put up now my 4th tree, 8 of my 20 Christmas houses, plus various other indoor decorations. I now have all of my outdoor decorations to do! Family christmas is at our house this year! Here are a few pics of some of the decorations

Just a little update on the girls! The orion is starting to stack more. It has been difficult to keep her spread out and thinned out a bit for air flow, but she is chugging. And the zkittlez is just stretching like crazy and filling out the tent nicely!
