We’ve seen this come up a couple of times over the years. A grower will ask if boiling water will get rid of minerals or other dissolved solids.
It actually makes the concentration of dissolved solids worse, as you are boiling off water and the dissolved solids remain behind.
Here is a video that illustrates. It shows the extraction of sea salt from sea water. The water boils off and the salts remain behind.
