Thanks. On it’s way. ![]()
I personally never shut my fans off I have a automatic speed control on mine that adjusts to temp but it will run at a min speed
I also carbon filter my intakes
I recycle my air from grow rooms into my main basement heat cool humidify dehumidifier etc all outside of rooms and in main basement @Bogleg
Always more than one means to a end right
I maintain a constant air flow in rooms tho
I need to upgrade my fan controllers to allow for less air flow - at the lowest setting with the built in potentiometers they still move too much air… hence the cycling on and off. It actually works pretty well when I get it dialed in. @Niala spent a lot of time with me figuring it out and helping me understand it better… not sure I still really understand it, but I pretend I do. Hehe. Other than a cycle timer it’s one area I definitely need more/better automation on.
Tell you what if you going to spend a few bucks @Bogleg this the the type of fan you should buy next time you need to buy a new one
Quite and efficient being dc as well worth every penny Imho
The control you get from them is great you can control two fans off one controller so Intake and exhaust would run in sink

My T6 just came on Monday, and I have some hvac questions for you. I’ll tag you elsewhere @Countryboyjvd1971 to discuss, rather than to clog this thread.
So in this case you’d purchase a T6 and an S6, and run them off the controller together that comes with the T6, right?
Tax season is around the corner… I see these in my near future.
I have the T6 and I love it. @Bogleg one of the best purchases I’ve made.
Day 7 since germination
Of the original seeds I germinated, I’ve moved 8 to my cloner, as they’ve developed good enough roots for the next stage. I put them in the cloner last night - this morning three of them have already dropped roots into the water. The remainder I will just continue to top feed until they catch up.
I still have the other seedlings from that group going in my seedling enclosure… but I don’t have much hope for the ones in there. While they mostly popped up (two of 18 didn’t - looking at them it they both curled around themselves inside the rooter), the ones that haven’t been moved yet got stunted/twisted for some reason. Probably a PH issue, but I’m not overly worried about it… it’s a luxury of having hundreds of seeds to play with.
So… I dropped another dozen seeds a couple days ago. Six of those are already in rapid rooters and in the seedling enclosure. The remainder opened up over night, so by this evening or tomorrow morning they will also be in rapid rooters.
I decided to remove the domes this morning so I can move some air around the plants. I’ll check on them in a few hours and see how they are doing without the domes.
FWIW to anyone who finds this journal, full disclosure:
I suck at growing/managing seedlings. I always have some issue - usually something I had before and forgot the remedy or cause. Mostly I just try to get them big enough to feed themselves from reservoir, and I don’t really stress too much about how they look until they get there.
Ten days since first set of seeds germinated.
These are the ten day old seedlings (ten days from germination, not from “emergence”):
As you can see, there are ten in there from the original 18 I dropped. Of the ten that are in the cloner right now, looks like I will likely yank two of them out for being too temperamental.
Behind those I have another ten in the seedling enclosure:
They are a week younger than the others. Ideally I’ll end up with 16 “easy to manage” plants that suffer my inconsistencies and general malaise… and yes, I am intentionally not trying to keep everything “perfect” with these plants.
All but one of the seedlings in the cloner now have roots in the water under them - just barely, though. Probably need another solid week of growing before I contemplate putting them in the flood tray.
FWIW, I decided to put the cloner in my flower tent since I already figured out the environmental parameters in that tent, so right now the cloner is sitting in there with just one of the three COB rails running at full strength (200w), about 30" above them right now.
Looking good! I like making them work for you instead of the other way around.
I hear that - that’s the idea, anyway. It might take 20 generations but eventually I will find a plant that doesn’t care if the humidity drops down to 30% or the PH gets out of whack for a day or two. Heh.
When you get them I’ll pay extra lol
Haha - well you get free ones for as long as I’m making them, since you provided the original genetics.
Cheap is good, free is better! I wouldn’t mind contributing to keep the process rolling either.
11 days since germination on first round of seeds
I believe the seedlings are starting to settle in, so last night I changed up the light schedule from 24/0 to 16/8.
The second tray of seedlings is looking okay - a few more days and I’ll add them to the tent with the others.
moving right on along @Bogleg
you are going to have a forest grow!
14 days since first seeds germinated
Well, I now have all but one seedling in the cloner with roots long enough to go into the tray… still going to hold out for a few more days, though.
They aren’t pretty, but they’re alive.
I suppose I should actually check the PH on the water in the tote now that the roots are reaching into it… last time I checked it was two days ago, and it was at 5.9.
I have 9 seedlings in the seedling enclosure that are all almost ready to be moved to the cloner:
So far germinations on Dejah seeds have been high percentage for me. I’ve had two seeds not crack open out of 24, so far.
I’m excited to get these things into the table and under 12/12 so I can start sorting them out.
I’m gonna have to drop a Dejah seed here soon. And an Alien Snowcone. I’ll do them next round ![]()
