Gave the new system a day to settle down, topped the rez up and now we’ll see how long it last. I still plan to top feed a little if it dries out.

Once they start feeding from bottom you dont want to top water to much from what ive heard it pushes the salts that build up back down to the roots but let others chime in

@Crazy81 is spot on But you can do it just water a lot slower. When you use your sprayer just wet the top and let it set a few minutes. Then repeat till your at your desired level of moisture. that way you’re not washing the salt down.

Lil update on the planties and the auto watering system, used about 15L of water since Fri. top of pots are still a little damp from the small top feed. I’m not seeing any where close to the dropping leaves as I have as in the past, just some around lights out and by morning there standing tall waiting on the sunrise. I’ll give it a 9.5 so far.

Good morning,here’s a couple of IR shots from the farm cam. 1st is an hour after lights out and 2nd is before lights on. Pretty cool to be able to check anytime you want.

Good afternoon, 1 week update on the watering system.I have not fead anymore over the top since set up and the wicks have keep the top damp. There drinking about 1.5 liters a day and look pretty happy to me
