1st girl down. Stinky ole girl in the back of the tent. Hiding some bluish buds and almost black leaves. She’s going to be the guinea pig for the homemade drydoc.

Happy New Year!

Butter Balm.

@Growdoc how many days of dry do you usually end up with in the drydoc? Im at 66f and 60rh settings.

Congrats! She looks gorgeous!

Thanks. She is stinky and sticky. I have her in the house drying because my lung garage is too cold to run the drydoc cooler. Hoping the sealed wine cooler keeps the smell down in a day or two. Lol

Good luck! lol she looks pungent :joy:

I usually run it 5 days and drop to 60-60 and cure 5 more, then in jars and burp a couple weeks and ready. We have used it right out of the Doc, and it was good, Son said taste was as good as longer cure.

Cool. Hopefully i can give her 5 days then dry trim and into grove bag. Got 4 more ladies in line. Lol

Happy new year.

Fresh grove bag started for the new year. She’s smelling nice in there. The boss is going to be working on this bag a while. Looks like close to a half pounder.

The drydoc does a decent job of holding in the smell. Do not open the door to check on things. The whole house is dank again. Lol

The first couple days will burn your eyes if you open the door! Lmao

@Growdoc im pretty sure the drydoc is doing its thing. Thanks again for sharing your re-engineered/repurposed invention. I might have missed it in your drydoc thread, but do you set your’s at 68 and 60rh right from the start? Do you start with higher rh and step it down? I’m not sure where the moisture is going with mine. The little drip tray is full underneath, but I thought for sure it would be overflowing.

Yes, I start at around 72 and step down couple times a day until 60.

Pulled the butter balm out of the drydoc today. This thing still smells awesome. Litttle to no hay smell. Tried a bowl trimmer for first time. Guess im in the kief business now. Lol

Topped the Pink Milk lady today. Tops were showing good amount of amber. Shes a looker, but the butter balm was much stinkier.

Let the rest ripen some more.

My bowl trimmer is worth it’s weight in gold! First several harvests we trimmed by hand, either wet or dry, for hours. Now I dry and cure, then trim with the bowl trimmer. All of the trimmings are also cured and can be used for anything. I do a QWET extraction with it and get some great oil to make carts out of. You can get a screen and sift your kief out as well.

I did one dry trim and the second one wet trim with the bowl. I definitely like it better doing it dry. Also easier to deal with the trim/kief. Still some learning curve for me.

Butter Balm went in the bag. 108 g dry. I’m going to have to check my grow methods. I’m getting a lot of small buds and loose buds. The next girl is a little better, but not where she should be. Last grow was similar too. Hmmm
