So with a one tent grow, would it be better to have two light one for veg and one for bloom or just one full spectrum for both?

This is how I feel about one big light. If one goes out you still have the second on till you get another light or fixed. The two I got where 3k on the box and on the lights said 4K. I didn’t have full Spectrum. I will have two lights or more in each tent. I think it spreads the light around more in my opinion.

@Ben-jam-incool name. A jam band man? Leds are new to me I like the big lights the best. Especially it you have the room. The one light I have is set at little over 6 foot. And will have to be moved higher. I think the trick is to keep them small in a 4x4.

I would do the full spectrum ones. Because then you can give them what ever you want. Light wise as in colors. Don’t bypass Quality for something cheap. A lot of these stores will be trying to get the new generation of lights in so you could get some deals.

Yea I’m new to led’s also. At the present I was gifted a friends set up. 1 4x4 tent, 4 blurples, 1-1000, 2-600 and 1-300. Seems to “ok” but still learning.
Thanks for the feed back, I have so much to learn

all under one HLG 100 4k.

No just a play on my name

I have a driver on almost every 2 boards. With 33 boards There no 1 light. For a 4x4 same idea. Go with more drivers. 2 instead of 1.

I’m sorry I haven’t been around. I’m on OG!!!

I have a HLG 350R in a 4 x 4 tent. I had some seeds left over from last May that have been stored in the dark and dry. When I sprouted them in water it took about 8 days for them to crack open and show a little tail. Last May it took only about 4 days. I put them in soil and it took 5 more days for them to break soil. Again longer than last May. My light has an intensity knob with 8 (I think) settings but no literature as to what each setting puts out. Initially I set the light on the dimmest setting at about 18 inches above the surface of the soil. After they broke soil I increased the light setting one more click. Any one have experience with this issue. The seeds are Gelato autos.

Id re ask this question in growth support. Monitor your leaves, ensure the edges arent curling up. Lower intensity for few days is okay. Lots of threads that use that light, and most have the dimmer and par maps to post on que.

After time of being used the hlg will go bronze brown look also it’s just what the light does to the paint on the hs at the time. It takes a bit but it does brown I can show u some 135 boards one used for a while grow more than the other one is black one is bronze look lol. I tried to wipe it off thinking it was a buildup of some sort lol nope but I do see what u mean I have some enfun boards heat sinks went like gold from black heat sink is super thin and they do get a lot hotter than hlg but they still put out super nice buds
