Please refresh my memory on the best drying temperature and humidity levels needed for a slow dry and cure. Thanks in advance
60 degrees and 60% rh
Thank you very much.
Should I cut and trim when humidity gets to 60%, should my cure stay at 60%?
You should dry your weed at 60F 60% humidity. You can trim before you dry (wet trim) and then dry on racks, or you can hang your plant and trim once they are dry.
Dry = 10 - 13% moisture measured with a moisture meter (the kind used for lumbar) or just before the smallest stems start to snap. This should take 8 - 12 days.
Once it is dried and trimmed, you cure in jars or curing bags…keeping at 68F and the humidity in the bag/jar should be 62%. 30 days is about the minimum for cure time.
If your environment is lower than 60%RH, Fan leaves slow the dry.
If your environment is above 60%RH, fan leaves slow and may assist mold growth.
I try for 120
60/60, 65/55 or ambient and paper bag employed to slow the dry, while “sweating”
