Blue lab ph pens are great man. Very fast reading and stable, i got a BL trencheon stick for ppm/EC it is also awesome. Get it from amazon so if its messed up from shipping you and exchange it. Also FYI blue lab will also replace stuff free of charge as long as ypu can justify that it’s broke or not reading correctly. It has to be witin a couple months of buying. But they have replaced 2 ph pens free for me. Good customer service

Thanks for the input @Fritzy
5 year warranty is what mine says. Hopefully won’t be putting it to the test. When the day comes that my Hanna ec meter fails I plan to replace with the truncheon.

Ya dude, no problem man. I forget it was 5 years but they do make good on warranty. That trencheon stick is the shit. It works awesome no calibration required. If your in coco EC very important but you probably already know that. Glad i could help grow bro

I’ve gotten a little superstitious about updating my seed drops before they at least break ground but I created my own bad luck earlier so I decided to share these antics with everyone. I dropped a Hulkberry Monday morning. Yesterday morning I moved the already cracked bean to a damp paper towel in a ziplock. Yesterday evening I checked it and noticed there was too much air in the bag, meaning that the majority of the water was condensed on the bag and most of the paper towel was dry, including the area around the seed. I immediately moved it to a pre moistened solo and put back on the mat under a bucket. I decided to check it earlier and knocked the cup over so I had to save it again. That’s where this startup is currently, waiting to see, hoping it will be okay. Taproot is triple the size of when I planted yesterday so at least I know it didn’t dry out too much in the ppr towel. I have another one of those, a couple other photos and several autos if a replacement becomes needed. I have an alternate backup plan in the works too but I’m not going to say anything else about that yet. I will have more details in a few days and reveal then.

Well I done got er this far

Lucky if it doesn’t get stem rot. Should know better than to water directly from the gallon jug into cups. Got a little extra splash more than intended when I was pre watering. Been allowing an hour or two without the dome to dry out a little. Seems to be tolerating 45% rh in small doses.

Good to do, I did that. I try to have some privacy online.
My IG account is private, and I don’t use my real name.
But it’s good for communicating through their private messaging, I guess that’s called “DM” these days, and is 99% of why I joined IG.

No, thank you @spankyjr1 !!!
I will probably be replacing the Hberry with one of these excellent selections. I’m not seeing any signs of further growth from her and I’m more and more convinced that the stem dampened off and she’s dying. I’m going to give her a little more time before I call it but I was checking this morning and found she’s not anchored in which is telling me roots are not growing. Hope I’m wrong but I doubt it. We’ll see soon enough. Thanks a billion brother @spankyjr1

Dropped a Bruce Banner photo (ILGM, courtesy of @spankyjr1) yesterday and planted in a cup this afternoon. Coco should be dry enough now that she shouldn’t have any stem rot issues (I hit it with a little peroxide a couple days ago to make sure it was sterile again). I hope to see a healthy sprout in a couple days. There’s still one more hulkberry seed left and it’s tempting to try to grow both of these side by side since HB is just what RQS calls their Bruce Banner but I had 2 planet of the grapes photos in there side by side once and it was a bit crowded. Makes maintaining good airflow difficult without stripping them naked. Better to resist the urge and focus on one until I find my stride again. Pictures coming eventually when there’s something to see :crossed_fingers::victory_hand:

Go for it lol
Congrats on the drop

Thank you. I’m going to be hand watering coco so I’ll be wiser to focus on one for now but I also have a ILGM bb auto. Maybe one day I’ll try to grow all 3 on a run. That’d be interesting but I’d need a bigger tent or second tent for that. Then I’d need new lights fans and it’s not happening anytime soon lol.

The BB cracked open but it has not grown any since planting it. I put it in a p towel and dropped two more BBs.

Checked the cups this morning and found one appears to be working on roots but the other one again did not grow at all. It’s kinda weird. First time I’ve seen seeds crack open and then not extend a taproot, just a little nub then nothing. I am going to recheck the media later to make sure the ph hasn’t inexplicably drifted out of range from distilled water (???). The BBs being gifted, the pain isn’t as severe but I really need to figure if it’s something I’m doing wrong. I didn’t have to try this hard the first few grows. I’m sure it wasn’t too damp this time so IDK. I’m considering getting some root riot plugs. Wife keeps suggesting that I go back to basics but that would mean soil starting in seedling trays and soil is what I’m trying to get away from. I dropped an F1 auto (RQS Titan) seed a couple minutes ago for the heck of it. Rather burn up a couple autos than photos if this is how it’s going to be. Pics eventually when there’s something to see.
