Been growing Autos for years in 5 gallon fabric pots with a mixture of happy rog and ocean Forrest soils. I have had great sucess in my harvests but thisnyearI decided to grow them in 4 gallon fabric pots instead of 5 cause i noticed I wasted alot of soil in the 5 gallons. I used same soil mixture as usual but I added some perlite naybe about 6 to 8 oercent. Anyways what a nistake cause I got messed up with the watering. These dry faster and hold less bur sobused to the 5 gallon ones. So I definitely stunted all 4 plants. They are recouping now but since there autoflowers there teally isnt room for mistakes. But…
Heres a few oics of them. There about 7 weeks old. One had went into flowering way fasrer then the ithers. Must be the stress. The others look ok except why is half the plant look like its in flowering and the other half is in pre flower with kight green bew vegetation. Is that also a side effect of me messing up with the watering?
All look pretty dang healthy. The yellow in the center is new growth where the chlorophyll hasn’t settled in yet.
Jus a headsup to that perilte if u add more than what already in ffof it’ll mess with the pH bad especially if u didn’t soak an drain before you used![]()

Plants look to be happy well on their way.
Good luck ![]()
I’ve grown autos in 5 gallon fabric pots and I agree with you about wasted space. I downsized to 3 gallon fabric pots and I think that has made a difference for the better. I used to use Happy Frog and FFOF too I switched my medium to Purple Cow Indicanja water only ..The Tropicana Cookies Autoflower and the Gorilla Cookies Autoflower grow is just getting started but I think the plants seem to be happier. No nutrient burn
And below is a Jealousy Fast plant in full Re-vegging with Indicanja soil too
