Anyone growing cactus?

I add the gypsum for calcium when I get the spots. I rarely see them but that solves them. The Excalibur 9 is designed to supply micros and macros for FL 9 mo. season.

The dessert roses get it as well in January after I cut and shape it. I cut caudex and repot every 2 yrs.
I have a turkey bag full of seeds from this year. I’m running low on them and need to re up my stock. Should get to poppin a few trays.

That last one with the rose and yellow is sharp. Looks like one of those from Hawaii 9 :+1:

These flowers been blooming these past few days. I always cut the tops off the flowers so the bee’s don’t get trapped in there when they close up. We have to take care of the bees. There so intelligent, those little guys.
These pics were about 15 min :honeybee: :revolving_hearts: :honeybee: ago.

Don’t know why I didn’t tag you when I posted - I’ve admired your garden pics multiple times.

Ok so I repotted it, moved it outside in the sun and added a support stick until it gets established ( it was leaning).

Yup. Let the sun straighten it out. I have to rotate a couple times a year to follow the sun. I dont put the stick that close as to avoid any root damage.

Water tested some cacti seeds yesterday.

Not bad. In the end, I got 74 sinkers and 11 underdeveloped. Went into tray last night

Gonna do some grafting next year

My son left a dozen succulents behind when he moved out. I don’t know what they are or how to care for them!

My husband bought me three tiny cactus 10 years ago a least they were about 2 inches big I have no idea what they are if they should be transplanted I feed them tea and gelatine now and again.
What should I do to give them there best life lol!

The tall ones are just a bit shorter than a Bic pen now but I haven’t transplanted them since I got them. Should they be separated?

How long in current pot? Seperate or up pot, but it will eventually happen.

They have been in this pot for the better part of 10 years

Not a mytrillocactus cristata or patchanoi TPC by glochids and color. Hope you just enjoy whatever it is. If your son was a collector - It reminds me of my TBMC with the dehydration/light burns, smooth texture and occasional glochids. Each one is unique

Mine has both penises and crests

This Barrel cactus needs repotted, not lookin forward to it. It’s very heavy. I wrap a old carpet around it and put on welder gloves and hope for the best. I plan on doing it this week. :crossed_fingers:
