Alfred69 White Widow Auto Indoor got a usb magnifer

@beardless what feed and schedule are you following? Just curious to your PH range also? Also, do you have approx how much fluid 1/2 gallon? when watering to run off, when the plant is as big as yours in that beautiful photo you posted of your bush?

My first grow which I am still in progress I think my plant suffered from long term Under PH-ing…I was around high 5s in the PH range for most of the grow. I love the Deep Green Healthy look. I just upped my PH recently, so I am unsure if it will do much for me on my first attempt…See the dull green of mine compared to @beardless and the original poster looks like they are on PH target…

I use Fox Farm Trio of Big Bloom, Big Grown and Tiger Bloom. I put the Soil Feeding Schedule into excel since that is what I use. The conversion from our imperial measures to metric is below. I find it easier to use ml when you get into partial doses or less than a gallon.

I’m not sure I understand your question about 1/2 gallon or runoff. Run it by me again.
The plant in the picture with the tripod is an ILGM Blueberry auto. I started that grow using rain water I collected. I had to switch to our well water, my guess is around week 5-6. At the time I did not test PH. Rain water PH is usually lower than tap water but I do not know its PH. I’ll check it soon when I get some in the rain barrel. Our well water is right around 7.5. So the Blueberry did well either because it got a good start with the rain water, genetics, or good fortune.
Because of issues with my current grow, Amnesia Haze auto, I adjust PH regularly to 6.5 +_. They did not like PH 7.5 I flushed each plant 2x . The flushing and using corrected PH water saved them. This is one of four that is getting close to finishing. As for runoff, I usually water enough to get some in the collection saucer. I do not check it regularly for PH or PPM. I do not have great notes on this aspect so I need to review my notes to see if they tell me anything. Call it the learning process.

From what i could find in the tripod that arm is 19in and i’ve got a 4X4 so i was looking for 4 or 5ft arm BUT you showed me something that will work thank you very much. When it arrives i’ll be posting some GOOD pictures and thanking you again
Happy growing

The duct is out of the tent and i want to thank you

You too. A man can not have enough toys. Good luck

@beardless- You stated/ “I’m not sure I understand your question about 1/2 gallon or runoff. Run it by me again.”

OK what I meant to say is when the plants are getting bigger, and your goal is to water to saturation and run off, how much fluid are you pouring on the soil to achieve this? I see you are using the mesh 5 gallon pots or bags to house the plants. I am just curious to how much water / fluid and how many days you go between watering.

My plant I am now watering every 48 hours and I am using about 40 oz of fluid applying it slowly out of a squeeze bottle. I am indoor and my temp ranges are 73-77F according to the guage and around 36-40% RH

Your plants look great to me…I see you have some discoloration on the leaves, but I read somewhere that nearing maturity some of the big fan leaves do turn yellow near ripening of the plant. Do you find this “Yellowing” to be true in all your grows?

@beardless

I forgot to ask. With the Auto Flower plants and the grows you have done so far.

Have you found a time date/range where the plants have matured to a point where you pulled them from the dirt?

Just curious…I know the Tricombs and the browning of the white hairs on the buds will be the true measure of when they are done, but wondering if you see a similiarity between your grows as to when you pulled them.

I am not sure I can give you specific volumes but rather my approach. I basically fill up 1 qt containers (2 of my favorites)

and water one plant till empty, water the next etc. and repeat. I did not always water to the point of runoff. Of course the amount depends on the pot, size of the plant / age and soil. When some of the white widow autos (they were very large) were far into flower in 5 gallon pots it could take a gallon, sometimes a little more. Some of that depended on tent temps and humidity.
Leaf Yellowing - yes this normal. Especially the lower older ones. As it gets closer to harvest mid plant and upper leaves will also yellow / brown starting at the tips. Here are 2 A mnesia Haze that are going into a dark closet for 48 hrs

@Beardless those buds look beautiful. I do a very slow watering spinning the plant to ensure the entire dirt area is evenly applied. My runoff is not a huge amount. I have not checked it, but may do so on future grows.

What is the purpose of the dark closet right before you harvest and do you have any PRO-CON about doing or not doing it?

You still have awhile to go man. Probably 3-4 weeks. I grow only white widow usually I just switched it up. My last plant under junk lights got 10 ounces. I’m under HLG lights now, and outside when it’s nice. This girl is 36 days old. Fox farm soil and nutrients. HLG 300W =600HID light and they are only in 3 1/2 gallon buckets and look at the size! Follow my journal and any questions just tag me ! Also, are you doing LST? If not you should !

It is supposed to enhance last trichome / resin push. Shock into thinking it is time to finish. No idea if if really works or not but right now I have the space and temperature and humidity is right so I will do it. Plus it makes me hold off 2 more days which is probably the biggest benefit. Search the site and I imagine you will find some discussions / recommendations.

I wouldn’t take your plants outside, you stand the risk of bringing pests into your grow tent.

T;he 2 days of darkness What is the right temp and hum and do you leave the girls in their pots? Thank you so much for the tripod recommendation, @beardless and, @Royc for the recommendation of the usb magnifier, @Arborfarms I need help and would llike lots of opinions and ideas please, when i took the duct that lead the hot air from the de humidifier out of the tent the humidity dropped from 45 to 43 in 8hrs. but the temp went from 79 to 87 in that same 8 hrs. today the temp is 82 but the cold front has passed through but the hum is 40…My question is should i put the duct work back in? @dbrn32, @DubV24, @monkman, @Killadruid, @Amjk, @LoCoRock here are some pictures with new equipment

the dehu makes the environment go up in temp, it dries the air. you will still need a way of controlling the heat. In my tents I run a 30 pint dehu, humidifier, and a 6" ac infinity fan. My temps stay at 78F-82F all day with the dehu working. Your dehu should not be running all the time, only comes on when it is set to. Set to low, it runs all the time and you need to find out why. Too much vegetative growth causes a lot of humidity, one of the reasons why I defoliate heavy and lollipop.

I run 2 fans, an exhaust, no humidifier or dehumidifier, my hole temperature and humidity has always been great for me haven’t had many problems. You constantly want new air coming in tho and bad air going out

it’s magic great pictures thanks again. When their ready for the 2 days in the dark what is the proper temp and hum and do you leave the plants in their pots. i"ve got 2 fans on the floor, i fan up top and the 6’’ filtered exhaust fan that’s set on medium. How do i get the temp and hum down in my tent?

drying conditions temp 60-70
humidity 50%
Is your tent in an area that is air conditioned?
Can you exhaust the tent to a space that does not contain the tent?
Is a portable air conditioner the cools and dehumidifies an option.

This morning temp was 79 hum 40 i think i can live with BUT last night i turned the hum off max just a bit, turned my 6" inline exhaust to max and went back to the hum and it was blowing cool air last night and a little warm this morning so i turned the hum down a little more and the air got cool. Tonight i’ll adjust the hum down again just to see. @Arborfarms don’t know if i have to tag you when i’m replying but i really want to thank you for your patients with me in fixing this problem.
Happy Growing
