I just bought their 4-pack. My autos are halfway in flower. it lasts about 4 days when filled. I havent tried with nutrients though, my plants are top dressed, watered in.

Oh the humanity 
decided against using the watering bases because they didn’t get here before I had to leave. Came home to a blood bath 
So, now it’s time to try and nurse her back to health.

And I actually have a question for you. I know some people do and some people don’t. Should I remove some of the lower nodes to open her up? If so when?

As soon as she has enough foliage to sustain herself… Usually when she gets to 5 or 6 nodes… Then you can start training her and removing stuff to your liking. 
The first 2 nodes usually will give you only small airy buds (larf). So you can safely remove those 2 nodes and keep the plants energy growing the other buds…imo

Wash out, before filling.
