Hey thanks for the reply I looked up that website and are these light rated differently they seem quite expensive. What should I get for my 2x4?
Would 2 of the HLG 100’s be enough for two plants in a 2x4?
@dbrn32 could probably settle the difference more then I can, roleadro are not worth it IMO, spectrum is not really good compared to QBs or the cree fixture you first posted.
I just came across another post but someone doing a 5x5 and talked about the exact same lights I linked here by members who commented. Looks like the pros here agree HGL setup is better and adding strips eventually would be ideal so for now I just need to know what should I buy for my 4x2? If I grow one plant should I just get a HGL 100 for now and That will do? Or will one plant need more than one of those lights?
Because ideally I’m going to grow one and then when I have more cash flow this spring (paying off some debt right now) I would add for a second plant
With the kind of leds you should look for around 30w/sqft for flowering phase for nice results, so around 240w would be best, one HLG100 will grow one small plant for sure.
800$ for the 300 kit to grow 2 plants seems to be a hell of a price to pay for lights…
I mean really? I get buying things once to do the job but he’ll I thought my whole kit was going to cost 900$ after I priced it out on Amazon.
Maybe I’ll go back and just do a 900$ setup and then when my lights crap out after a 3 year warranty I can upgrade to these fancy things but that’s a bit outrageous right now
You can get both these kits much cheaper than thr HLG 300. Meanwhile the fixture you posted from amazon is almost 500$, pretty much the same deal imo but you are going to have a much better light.
Honestly if I had to work the hours you’re doing currently, I wouldn’t attempt to grow. It is not a “set it and forget it” thing. It’s going to require a pretty good bit of your time to do. Just learning the ropes is going to be time consuming.
That 260 kit would only give the 30w per sq ft not the 40w and that’s after spending 475$+
Or 560 for the 320 kit (that I should probably get as that produces the full 40w per sq ft of a 4x2 tent)
I found these for 400$ + a 90 shipping fee unfortunately (China) so it’s the same ones as my first link but instead 400w for 490$
Thoughts? I looked at the spectrum they look good but they definitely have a different design vs the HLG that’s for sure with those projection lenses.
The amount of watts doesn’t mean anything. And I’d have a hard time believing they’re using an authentic cxb3590 if they say it emits from 380nm to 780nm. A cxb3590 won’t do that, so they’re lying one way or another.
Depends on if you’re looking to run an efficient grow or maximize production in your space really. The 260 kits are plenty for a 2x4. Grabbing a 320 kit will give you more yield potential, but jamming a 320 at full power you’re dry harvest per watt will likely be lower.
I think 2pcs of Mars300 can work for your 2’x4’ grow size. If you add marsII700, it will be too powerful for plants. If you want to increase draw power, you can add another small light mars ECO 300
2 x 132 watts is nowhere near enough good light for 2x4 dude. You need at least 400watts of Amazon lights for that amount of space if you want even halfway decent yields. I can see you really like Mars which is fine, but you’ll need 2x 600w Mars lights to grow really dense buds in that space with “full spectrum” Amazon lights. Plenty of us here have been that route and build our own lights now because of crappy yields @Devile
Two lights are enough in 2x4 tent. Or heat will be the problem. Have you tried Mars new series like Pro II series? I was using Pro II 160 in my 2x4 tent. So far so good.
