I’m kind of in the same boat. I have one plant that’s grown half an inch and two weeks. We’ll see what ends up happening with that.
Alconic, welcome to the community and to the forum, 4 ft, you have long dangling plant. I would move the light down 2 ft, and see if that works for you. Good luck on your grow
Co2 is useless when you don’t have a strong enough light period everyone who grows professional will tell you that unless photosynthesis is at max potential and with 250 watts in a 4x4 your not even close co2 only affects yield. Not quality all plants grow roots and develop legs before they grow I had an auto stall before but after a couple of weeks she started back up stop comparing your grow altitude is part of your environment every seed is different there are strains with 50 pheno. Types I would say look at genetics and watering techniques I’ve never used co2 and have pulled a pound of. Dry without it from one indoor plant in coco I wouldn’t let my coco go more than 48 hours without water and every day at about 4 weeks almost impossible to overwater in coco have patience grow one out and see I hope it goes well for you a lot of people trying to help you✌️
Being a beginner I suggest trying soil for the first time . I had a lot of trouble in the beginning using coco. The same plants I was growing in Ocean Forest I grew in coco and they got stunted from my nutes and burned up, it was a mess. Until I learned about ppm and ph lol. If you really wanna stick to cocoa fox farms makes a “coco loco” that I believe is amended . I had great autos in that medium! Good luck and welcome to the forum !
Not only that but you have to push CO2 numbers at a high enough value that to get there requires a sealed environment to go along with the insane light levels (which as stated you aren’t even close to) and heat/humidity rejection becomes a big deal. That means you have to run sealed, high light, special equipment to maintain CO2 environment AND cool the space.
You go ahead and use those fart bags if it makes you feel better, but frankly you should be worrying about the basics of your grow, based on your title and statement.
I average 12 zips per plant in a conventional grow, willing to listen to advice from you when you better that number.
Coco is a good medium, but my suggestion is to run photoperiod plants (much more forgiving) and to dial in your basics.
But it’s your grow, your plants, you can do anything you want.
@Aiconic DO NOT be discouraged….4 times or not learning isn’t failing….don’t forget that you’re your biggest critic. Be easy and have fun with it. If it ain’t fun then switch it up. You haven’t failed because you haven’t tried everything
. Furthermore…tend to agree with the “learning the basics” statement…learn the basics of how you’re choosing to grow something and above all…Be Patient!!! Good things come to those who wait and it includes growing things like weed, beards, and good reputations

@Aiconic I’d also like to second what @Myfriendis410 and @sparky66 said. First and foremost you are waisting your time without proper lighting dialed in. Second, those CO2 bags are worthless. I tried them at first also. When I upgraded to CO2 tanks and a controller, I left the bag in the tent for a couple days with the monitor on and the PPM increase was super minimal. We’re talking like a 75PPM increase from normal atmosphere levels. I also noticed it was spreading little white spots all over my plants. You’re better off running an active air intake system If you want better atmosphere with increased co2, without the big cost of doing it right. I could only see one of those being useful if it is in a sealed closet with 0 air flow. The folks on here have done a pretty wonderful job of pointing you in the right direction. I’d suggest gaining some more patience and keeping your ears and eyes open, and maybe opening you’re mouth a little less. When seasoned growers on here are willing to give you valuable insight, its a gift. Experience means everything in this world
One day you are going to ask us what to do because it is growing so fast.
Research coco and get watering down correct. Also ph to 5.8.
And some other points.
Co2 bag or whatever. Meh whatever , doesnt matter with or without.
Your light , it is what it is. Check recommended grow height from manufacturer. Sure there are way better lights, but you have to start somewhere. I did cheapos and got several ounces from first grow. Just keep both switches on
And Welcome to the forum !!
Happy Growing my friend
Meggus31, maybe consider using recharge for faster root growth and building of strong root system. That’s what I use it for. Hope this helps you with your grow, good luck
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond. I read every post and have decided to let the grow continue.
@Aiconic don’t give up bro I’m also new to this. The forum here are helpful this is a blueberry auto at 26 days old with a height of 19 cm yesterday (day 25)
@Aiconic, I also had doubts in my first Auto grow in coco. As mentioned above, they have a mind of their own and time schedule too. Someone mentioned adding nutrients when expanding the coco. This is an absolute must when buying coco blocks. Also be sure that it is good quality coco too, as some of it is sourced from very salty areas and needs to be washed. Raw coco also craves Calcium and Magnesium, so if your coco has not been buffered ( pre-soaked in strong PH 6 cal-mag solution ) beforehand, then you could end up with all sorts of issues later in the grow usually after the bloom cycle starts. You can check on youtube how to buffer coco.
Ouch sometimes the truth hurts. Better said than not be told!
I use Mother’s Earth mixed with Perlite. Best mix on the market for Coco Coir. I am aware of Coco’s natural penchant for eating up CalMag as well. Did all my homework. Follow the nutrient regime to the letter. Zero success. Every grow, this is now the fourth, stops in exactly the same place after one week of growth under ideal conditions. I’ve even tried growing a seedling with no nutrients at all. Same result.
That said, I think it’s that the Solo Cups don’t have enough holes in them to allow air flow. So I resolved that problem and bought air pots for my next grow. If that doesn’t do it then I can admit I do not have the talent to grow and move on with no shame. Growing is a skill. Everybody cannot be good at it. You need talent to be good at anything. The jury is still out whether I have the ability or not. After five grows there might be a trend.
Thanks for the follow up man. I’ve taken notes on everyone’s advice and intend to make changes for this last attempt.
Thank you sir. I’m frustrated but hanging in there. Believe it or not I’ve learned a great deal even while failing. I am hoping I am misreading this grow as I see the roots continue to build beneath each plant. That’s kind of the saving grace in all of this. I see the roots building up each day which is a sign the plant is indeed healthy. I will be transferring them into Air Pots. No. I do not expect monster plants. Especially after a slow start. I’ll post the end result either way.
Canna coco is the best out there for cannabis. U expand it with your desired amount of nutrients being full strength with jacks 321. Alot of bag coco has to be buffered woth a phd calmag water for a while to set the ph of the coco. Not with canna coco. Just expand with nutrient mix and plant the germinated seed and watch her grow. Dont take alot of water off the rip until she pops ground u can use a spray bottle with ro water spray enough to get what u think might be rooted thats it usually a ring around the plant to get roots to stretch. U habe some of the best growers on here that can get u off and running the races.
Finally some closure. The next nodes came in on all three plants. It is without question stunted as the other grows. So this fourth attempt is a confirmed fail. I took a few steps back after reading all of the comments from this post and another thread I created. I looked over my notes and then I confirmed my environment for the millionth time. Everything is on point to the letter. That’s the nature of my existence as an engineer. Everything is in its place working in sync. I’m a detail guy by nature. But growing is obviously kicking my ass. It isn’t the concepts nor the application thereof that is the problem. It is me. The rookie grower that is the problem. My inexperience is destroying my grows in spite of reading everything I can get my hands on and conversing, as I am now, with people with more knowledge than me so I can learn.
Ultimately, based on the comments and my own suspicions I believe my lighting may be the culprit. I know Autos are hyper sensitive. My grow light as 1200w with a 240w draw from the wall. That might be too much for a seedling even if stationed 6 feet above them. My plan is to get a smaller grow light specifically intended for seedlings. Place that in my tent and turn my big grow light off until they are mature enough to handle the intensity. Second, I am going to use air pots for my seedlings. Then transfer them into 5 gallon air pots.
My next grow I will post pics of the progress and hopefully the two changes I made will result in a successful grow. Again, thank you to everyone for your advice. Even in failure there is a great deal to be learned. I have to make changes. What I am doing is not working. Hopefully these two things will get me to the finish line. ![]()
i read every post on here. what is sticking in my head is a 1200 watt led 4 ft away. i run 100 watts 24 inches away. i also used a shop light once because thats what i had. you are trying for perfection. a place for everything and everything in its place. well stop it.
have some fun with it. throw some seedling mix in a dang cup throw a dome over it, and stick a cfl 6 inches from it. go the KISS way once at least. patience will be your best friend. always been my problem. happy growing! you can do this! ![]()
@Aiconic patients is the key to grow weed plants I’m in auto and all you see on videos I think is cuz they are in indica, I just said cuz I’m on sativa and all about they had 10 weeks to harvest from seedling is lie I’m in week 10 and my auto need like 4 o 5 more weeks but I’m in soil hff so I’m not the perfect guy to explains about coco but if u said they healthy but slow grow autos do they thing at they time
