Same thing happened to me a few years ago, but there was an injury. I had a propane smoker for a while and it did marvelous. It was good at keeping a temperature. I put a big boston butt on late in the evening with the plan to take it off in the morning when I woke. I checked it late before going to bed and the flame was out so I did something not so smart. Agitated at the circumstance knowing my timing was way off and I had to work, I didn’t think it out. I pushed the little starter button to reignite the gas and boom! The explosion thrust the hinged door open on my head knocking me silly and leaving me with no hearing whatsoever. Mrs. T-Ray hearing the boom rushed out to the carport to find me on the ground trying to collect myself and laughing her arse off at me. It blew to door off when all that collected gas in the smoker ignited and that door hit me square in the noggin.

We have 4 of those. My son picked them out to make sauce with. We have 5 or 6 different tomatoes going.
