Both very good products, I would go very light, especially if you’re using new organic soil. What type of soil are you growing in? There’s a good chance you won’t need any amendments if the soil is already fortified with what you need.
Yes i will… i had no choice i planted in a bad medium with ffhf and coco. With perlite i just mixed stuff together bc thats all i had.
That mix should work just fine.
Dont be afraid to water them. As they get older the overwatering danger becomes less of a problem.
Happy Frog and cocoa with perlite sounds like a very good mix to me.
I used ffhf
When i removed the plants there were to many clumps and some rocks formed. I didnt have the ratio correct.
One other question when is the best time to water… lights on or off or does it matter?
Personally I water whenever I see the plants are dry and the pots are light. I will even interrupt their dark cycle to water, for me it’s basically when I have time to be able to get them water. I believe more people like to water right before lights out
I actually avoid watering before lights out. I do it either right after lights on, or a few hours later.
Humidity is always tougher to control during the dark times, so the last thing I want to do is have them saturated before lights out.
Follow what @Spiney_norman is telling you. That’s what you need to be doing.
Makes sense, We always water outdoors late in the day so the sun doesn’t evaporate the water before it can soak in the ground. Indoors is different…
What do you mean by water center well?
He means to make sure the area with roots gets some water. All of your roots are still in a ball the size of the last container. Don’t let all the info and differing ways we put it confuse you. Don’t make it harder than it is. All you need to do is water it well for now. Give each a quart poured in a circle around the plant. Happy Frog soil has plenty of food for a month. Just don’t pour the water directly on the plant and you will be fine. And don’t water again for several days.
This is your future…
That was in conjuntion with the cup thing. Youll want to make sure the base of the seedling gets watered in the first time. The cup over the plant will create a water ring where the center wont get watered forcing the plant to seek the water, thus increasing your root base. But intially youll want to get her all watered in to ensure there are no dry pockets.
I really hope i can succeed i try so hard! Thank you! Im about to water now.
Ok so this morning we are perking up… but now 2 of my leafs are crispy looking what do i do now? I used the solo cup method when i watered…
First , don’t over react. Leaves die sometimes and things happen once that don’t linger as problems.
As the plant roots into the happy frog soil it will get what it needs. Since the rest looks ok that leaf may just have got something on it that did that. Happens to us all.
Watch them for the next several days and I know you will see them start to take off. They will spend a few days rooting, but that happens fast.
Ok thank u, i was upset… two leafs are doing this on bth sides they are crunchy… but yes the rest looks ok… i put this girl in the 5 gal pot to…lol the others in the 3 gallons. I was going to give them a few days and them FIM them. How do you feel about doing that?
Autoflowers don’t do well with topping or fimming due to the short time before they flower. On rare occasion it can work out, but they could possibly start flowering as early as 3 weeks from sprouting and topping them severely limits production. Just let them grow naturally and if they do get tall you can do some low stress bending to deal with it.
