3 autos, 2 gallon pots, strive nutrients, 2 vs1000 lights 32"x32"

Also I watered them last night and they were looking a bit better this morning. Maybe I need to give more water when watering.

Someone tagged me in this post I’m not real sure exactly what’s going on but I got a few questions.

1.) are these autos or photos?
2.) what size pots are they in?
3.) How old are they?
4.) have you started feeding them any nutrients yet?
5.) what nutrients do you have?

Next time you feed them I want you to notate/document the total intake of your feed mix both pH and PPM and the runoff of your pH and PPM after feeding.

When you got those two sets of numbers for each girl post them here and tag me in it.

These are autos in 2 gallon pots, they are 30 days old, I did light nutes, 1/2 dose of Strive, I only plan on feeding once more.

@Lostgirl
Intake/runoff numbers
Ph 5.75 in/6.78Ro
Ec 1881 in/4020 ro
TDS 906 in/2008ro
Idk what anything but the ph means.

I’m assuming this is Happy frog soil or some type of fox farm soil?

I’m not going to confuse you with all the different types of way to read the EC but I think the easiest thing for you to do is utilize the TDS on your meter. TDS is (total dissolved solids) measured in PPM (parts per million)

So from here out when we talk about numbers we’ll be talking about PPM (TDS)

With that said, it looks like you have 3 plants
Are the above numbers for one single plant that you fed?

So basically you’re telling me you fed this plant

Intake feed
600ppm nutrients
pH to 5.75

Runoff
2008ppm
pH 6.78

What type of soil is this?
Are you ph adjusting your feed intake?

Soil is roots organic, and yes I am phing the watering, this is the last I think I am giving nutes.

Also, those numbers were pretty much the same for all 3

Okay here’s the deal. 2008ppm run off is too high. Your goal is to run off 1000ppm w/ a 6.5 pH each and every time you feed.

Now that you have approximately 2,000 PPM within your three plants (as you said the numbers were all close) when your next feed you’re going to use water only as your ppms are so high they don’t need more nutrients…

There is an issue with using water only. I’m assuming you’re utilizing tap water from your sink. Since you have to pH adjust your water only feed the ppms of your tap water must be at least 175ppm or your pH adjustment will not correctly adjust your pH.

Let me give you an example. In order to pH your intake water it must be 175 ppms so…

Let’s say you measure your tap water and it’s…

Tap water = 80ppm total
Well we know we need 175 PPM so you simply add Calmag a couple of drops at a time until you’re 80 PPM rises to 175 PPM

Once you achieve 175 PPM you can now adjust your pH and continue to feed your plants it’s water/Calmag feed

Example #2
Let’s say you test your tap water and it’s 212ppm (well that’s more than 175) so simply use that and ph your water to 6.5 and proceed to feeding.

Always document your feed intake numbers and you were run off PPM and pH numbers. This is your Bible!

Moving forward
Now you know your next feed is water only that’s what you’re going to do when these plants totally dry (dry time is very important as the plant needs oxygen)

Once you feed your water only feed come back here document your intake numbers and your runoff numbers and tag me in the post and we’ll go from there. Any questions ask now :victory_hand:

Thank you, that helps, as soon as I seen 2000ppm I figured it was too high. I let my tap water air out for a few days. Your explanation was very easy to understand. I was contemplating not feeding these with the roots organic, so probably should have just stuck with that. Thank you again, and happy growing!

I took @Lostgirl advice, watered today @ 350ppm, 6.3ph. thanks again for your expert advice. I think they will do great now. Learned, if the soil is a good soil, then no nutes may be best for autoflowers. I fed twice with half dose of Strive, that was too much. Gave them both just over 2 liters today. Will check the runoff in a few days when I water again.

Decided to defoliate the litter lady, not sure why she is short, but the trunk looks almost thicker that her big sisters.

These are all 35 days today.

Many Auto flowers can take what I consider midget status and it’s incredibly common. I’ve had them as small as 11 inches tall and still do an ounce and a half to 2 oz at harvest and never getting as tall as a ruler.

Also the midgets that I’ve grown has always been four times stronger than the regular non-midget. I don’t know why that is it just happens. The moral to the story, never underestimate the midget :victory_hand:

So, I have new numbers. I cleaned my trays which made it easier to read all 3 of my ladies more accurately. I missed the Apple strudel when I did these last time. I used about 2.3 liters in each.

In - PH: 6.25 TDS - 362ppm
out - mystery, PH - 7.24, TDS - 1912 ppm
out - apple strudel, PH -7.51, TDS - 831ppm
out - gorilla cookies, PH - 7.30 , TDS - 1472ppm

I am thinking next watering to PH around 5.75 and giving them about a gallon

New grower here
I’m using the same sized tent and I have 2 Biscotti autos above ground for about a week.
My plan was to start 2 more when the 1st 2 were 5 weeks old but looking at your plants, I wonder if there will be enough room.
If your grow is 48 days old, then will the plants get bigger in the next 32 days or just the buds?
Is 3 ounces per plant a reasonable target?

I think so, my opinion is that this size tent would be good for 4 autos. I ran a single photo my first grow. I have seen people put 9 in this size, but I wouldn’t recommend that. The need room to breathe or you could get mildew, where are you planning on drying them after you harvest?

I believe the stretch is about over, without the net the tallest would be 4’ at the end. I expect mostly bud growth from here on out.

Also, I would not give any nutes until they show signs of hunger, I believe that has slowed this otherwise awesome grow for me. Go light and easy with autos, keep track of VPD, TDS, PH, and PPFD…..lol not hard at all. Jk, every time I think I have something, I learn something new. Good luck and happy growing!

I haven’t thought that far ahead about the drying but I will probably just string them upside down and put a fan on them to speed the process up.
I know it is probably sacrilege, but I have an airfryer that dehydrates at a low temperature (less than 200 f) so I’m going to try that hoping it could work.
