@Countryboyjvd1971… in 12 days from when, from sprout? Cause mine are way too small, don’t understand. Is there a section somewhere to read more in depth on autos? I’ll look around. I need your opinion on my seedlings, I’ll send pic later, get back to you
@Countryboyjvd1971 @peachfuzz @Hogmaster @SilentHippie @M4ur… just a pic of my new girls. The first 2 are almost 24 days old… small right… the others are only 9 days old. I germinated the first 2 in soil and the others in water, maybe that’s it, idk:woman_shrugging:… I also think I overwatered in the beginning I’m going to transplant the bigger ones later today…
Them are small…but should be fine
@M4ur… I just transplanted big bud into a 5 gal bag, you think she’ll be ok? I’m glad I took her outta her pot cause it was sandy underneath the roots and dry, don’t know how that happened but it probably stunted the growth. Guess I lost my pizzaz little bit… but I’ll get er right soon! I’ll water directly around the plant for awhile until it establishes more roots. Thanks for your response
She will be fine… Water the entire pot not just near the plant, I think this way she will start stretching she’s roots… Just what I do whit mine.
@Kapelady… I’m glad you’re growing and yes we became friends but I’m thinkin we better keep it strictly about growing. It is easy to forget that’s for sure, I’m definitely at fault for that… anyway …This is my new site. Had to start it new…
@Kapelady… I’m glad you’re back
You might be transplanting too soon… are they auto’s or photo’s?
I will let a plant get a foot tall in a solo cup before transplanting… if you don’t see your baby that you just put in a 5 gallon pot grow for a few weeks it’s because it’s making roots… ideally you want the plant and roots to grow together… that’s the reason for planting in a solo cup and then a 1 gallon and then a 3 gallon and finally a 5 gallon…you can grow your plants faster that way…
Lookin good tho…
@peachfuzz… thanks for that and I value your opinion but that’s the way I did it the first time per directions from few people from ILGM and watered directly around the plant for awhile, when it started to grow I watered the whole bag. I’m glad I transplanted it cause the soil seemed sandy and dry under the roots, water wasn’t getting there, and probably stunted the growth. It was big bud photo and I did do it that way last time, I guess we’ll see what happens …thanks again
It seems that watering might be an issue for you… it’s understandable , we all over or under water when we first pick up this Hobby , maybe you should bottom feed until they get into flowering stage…
If your not sure how this is done then let me know…
Just want to see you succeed…
What do you mean by that?
Just take a bowl or tray that is a couple of inches deep… set the plant inside and poor your nutrients or water into said tray and let the plant drink from the bottom up… you will start to notice when and how much water or nutrients the plants need by doing this…
As you poor the water into the bowl quickly you’ll notice that the plant will start to draw up the water immediately and after a couple of fills in a matter of a few minutes , it will stop sucking up the water … once you see that , take the plant out of the bowl… you should not let the plant sit there long enough for moisture to reach the top of the soil… if you watch the water line after a couple of poors it will stop sucking up water and that’s when you pull it out of the bowl…if your soil is real compact it will make bottom feeding alot harder to determine… I would suggest a mix of 40% perlite to 60% soil for this type of feeding…
Once you get the hang of it , you will see some really happy plants…
Also understand at some point you will have to flush the plant because of salt build up , but in reality that means 1 or 2 flushes during flower… not a big deal…
@M4ur
Honestly that’s how everybody using fabric pots should be feeding and watering… it’s kinda like a form of flood and drain , but manually…
Thx a lot for clarification @peachfuzz. It’s a great information!
@peachfuzz… no, it’s not an issue, the soil on the first two girls wasn’t allowing the water to get to the roots… and now they are fine. They are all in fresh ffof now. You kept saying that was the problem, so I started thinking that too, but it wasn’t. I’m good thanks… but thanks for all the info, it’s greatly appreciated believe me!
@bonnie1…Yes we are friends but must keep our posts about growing…that’s for sure! Not sure what I will call my new grow journal …have to wait until the seeds arrive before I start that!
@Kapelady… so you’re waiting for amnesia haze autos? I love amnesia haze… I still have some amnesia haze photos left. My title could’ve been better more creative but just couldn’t think of anything that didn’t sound corny… I took your advice and germinated in water, all my seeds popped except one… it is the better way! Thanks
@bonnie1…glad you agree on how to start your seeds! Your title is fine…descriptive so that others know what your grow is!
Just updating my journal, slow right now waiting for my babies to grow and germinating one more white widow auto so hopefully I’ll have 4 autos and 2 photos. Transplanted big bud back to her small pot, she’s doing better but still slower than the rest and the other big bud is doing well. My new tent is arriving at end of week, excited about that! So two tents inside in spare room and won’t have to go down to garage all winter. I’ll grow 4 autos every few months and some photos in between, that is my plan I’ll take pics later…
@bonnie1, that’s great that you don’t have to use your garage this winter! Keep us informed on your grow…pictures!
@BIGE @SilentHippie @Sirsmokes @peachfuzz @Hogmaster @Countryboyjvd1971 @M4ur @Kapelady… here’s a pic of my new little babies…2 ww, 2 big bud, and 1 ss and 1 ww seedling not sprouted yet
