2023 greenhouse and outdoor adventure

I’m using neem oil with a little dishwashing liquid to help it stick , my plant’s are clean, other than a few grasshoppers it’s working good, also it’s supposed to keep powerdy mildew away, once they start flowering I’ll layoff neem and use Captain Jack’s , people say you’re Bud’s will have a neem taste , But yeah Bro do something don’t let them destroy your plant’s, We have time and money invested in our plant’s, Good Luck with you’re plant’s :+1:

Looking good, sometimes its good to switch up what bug juice you are using every now and then, keeps the bugs from building an immunity to it.

I agree, I found out that captain Jack works great for some bugs, but not all , this neem oil is working even better, But when I start the flowering stage im going to layoff it, Hopefully I won’t need anything, but I doubt it , there are billions of bugs here

If your worried about your plant’s having some weird taste with neem oil…
Ive never had that issue spraying my girls with neem oil up till 2 weeks from harvest…
But if your worried, you can also use canola oil at the same ratios as neem oil with no issues and its cheaper, its what we used in Humboldt for hundreds of plant’s…
1 oz of neem or canola and 5 drops of dawn dish soap to 1 gallon of good ph’d water for pest prevention and 2 oz of either oil to a gallon of water for a heavy infestation…
Spray at dark or 4 hours befor dawn or early enough for them to dry befor sun up… :+1:t3:

This is my first time using Neem Oil I used Captain Jack’s last year, from what I see it’s better, my plant’s are cleaner and nothing other than a few grasshoppers, i also like the fact it keeps PM and other types of mold away, but I didn’t have any idea using canola oil Look at my Happy Gelato and Purple Punch Trees

Every time ive ever sprayed my plant’s with neem for prevention, they always look so happy and healthy and refreshed the next day…
I think people that have problems with using these products is because they are doing something wrong with the mixture or they are applying it at the wrong time or are applying it to often… :+1:t3:

I’m using 2 tablespoons per gallon in my sprayer add a teaspoon of Dawn , spray every 3 day’s either early morning or late evening, I could add a little more neem per directions, but I really don’t think I need it, Agreed plant’s are clean and healthy looking , last year around this time i was dealing with PM , not a sign of any since I switched to neem, so you have been a grower for awhile What do you think about possibly get some Auto, mixed in my photos? I ordered 3 strains ILGM seeds , Purple Punch, Gelato and Tropicana Cookies, at first i mabey thought mother nature tricked them, I have 2 plant’s out of 12 doing this Budding like crazy, There not going to Re Veg , and it’s smaller and shorter than anything i have growing, We’ll Humans make mistakes and mabey some Autos got mixed in at the seed bank no big deal guess I’ll have some early Bud’s :sunglasses: Here’s a Picture

@BigTrout absolutely!! Teach a man to grow food or hunt and he can eat forever !! Now I just need to make a decision as far as giving them another feeding of dry amendments for veg, then use my flowering top dressing starting around august first, not really sure how long the first top dressing will last me

You can always feed more but ya sure as hell cant take it back so just stick with what feels right and adjust as needed, i personally feed bloom nutes all through veg i just change the levels and go with a little less untill flower

@BigTrout exactly that’s why I’m curious if it’s a good idea to add more haha

Does anyone know or have any info on how far my Gaia Green dry amendments will last ?? Used enough for 7 gallons of soil about a month ago and need to know if I need to use the veg nutrients again for a top dressing to get me through until flower, we have had a ton of rain in the past 2 weeks so I’m curious if that just stays in the soil or washes away ???

CAUTION :warning: plants can only assimilate food to a point. That point is determined the transpitation rate maximum and the genetic capacity for any given plant. Meaning, the uptake of nutrients is controlled by the capacity to move food laden water into the plants organs by transpiration. This why environmental control is so paramount. The second component of this equation is the genetic capacity to assimilate nutrients. Not all plants do well being fed heavily, some thrive in crappy soil, and others do well in well drained highly organic soils. The ideal is to set up a few plants in a grow and water/ feed them at different intervals to see how they respond. Keep in mind this type of controlled experiment rrquires the plants to be clones because each seed will some have genetic variation that may influence growing behavior. The consequences of overfeeding is often far worse than underfeeding. What the grower should be seeking is the goldilocks zone for the specific strain he or she intends to grow. I always suggest that the 1st iteration of any strain grow is never going to maximize the potential, you need to play around with growth habits until you find that sweet spot. Case in point, the Afghans I grow from various regions all have different growth characteristics. Some are massive bushes, others more compact like the typical Indica. To maximize the potential of each plant requires different growing techniques… pruning, thinning, spacing, watering and feeding is learned over several seasons growing the same plants. Hope this makes sense? Grow well… Be well… Cannabian out

seems like good advice from cannabin, I have been using only dr earth dry top dressed and used a good amount about 2 weeks ago , thinking will do again in another 2 weeks and then switch to bud formulation middle of august. every week or two i water with some black strap molasses mixed in .if they seem a little lacking I might do a compost tea but sometimes I think I do stuff more based on a perceived need than an actual need but big ass plants need more than a plant in a 5 gallon pot

there is so much hype with nutrients and additives out there It seems easy to overdo it especially with liquid nutrients,
you got some nice looking bushes growing how often does Gaia green recommend to top dress?
