Starting to see some colors in the trichromes. About half the pistols are still not brown. Fun waiting game !
@Growdoc the girls are starting to bulk up a bit. How far do you usually keep your lights from them at this point ? I think my light is avout 12 inches from the tallest bud at this point, should I be moving that up? Does high or low placement affect bud development or end quality? I think I am about 2 weeks from finish but correct me if I am wrong. Here is an updated pic this morning.
I beat the living tar outta ours.
Depending on what light and level it’s at, 12-16 inches is plenty close, big lights need more.
@Growdoc Ok so I am hoping to get your opinion, how are they looking ? Also, I am having a hell of a time getting my humidity under 49%. I have 2 small dehumidfiers running and temps consistently at 73. I even went to Menards and picked up some dryer venting and rigged it up from my tent into my main air vent as we have the AC set to 68, hoping it would help bring that humidty down even lower but no such luck.
Getting some nice color! 49 percent is fine in flower, as long as it’s close to 50, you’ll be fine, just make sure you have fan circulation in tent.
Yep I also have 2 fans inside the tent as well. Are the trichromes looking to be close to ready ?
Need better close ups, but they still look partly, won’t be long. Let some amber come in and good to go!
Welcome to the family. She looks great. The folks here a amazing. If you need any help dont hesitate to ask. Your in good hands here.
Well folks, the ladies are finished drying. After trimming I got just over 6 ounces off the 2 plants. My trim skills leave alot to be desired but I am glad to have finished this 1st grow successfully!! Thanks for all the help !
Job well done and congrats on the Chop ![]()

Congrats. On to the next one.
Morning everyone ! I am on to my 2nd grow. Currently have Double Grape and Kiwi Cheese from Mephisto growing. They are 18 days old from seed to soil. I think they are looking good so far, it is definitely interesting to see the difference in shape/growing pattern on the 2. Looking forward to many more grows as this is soooo much fun
Very solid process you use. Very nice job. I like it.
Congrats on your 1st harvest!!! @MsGreenThumbs It’s like that old Boston song…More Than A Feeling…right?!!
So you went with autos again for your second round, huh? Cool! I like to run a couple autos at the same time as my photos. I mostly get good result out of autos.
So, 18 days and already in pre-flower! Wow. My earliest has been 21 days so far. Keep up the good work, growmie!!

Yes they are fun to grow and have been super forgiving from my limited experience with then. The girls are 41 days old right now from seed to soil. My double grape from mephisto is oddly short but is developing extremely thick growth in the bud areas so it will be neat to see. I have been pretty hands off on these as far as training and I only accidentally mainlined the kiwi cheese but she didn’t miss a beat after that. This has been a cool process and I would like to do some photos in the near future but I figured I would get comfortable and good at autos first. This is a pic from this morning.
Those are looking mighty fine!!!
I’m 7 grows into this hobby and still trying to work out the hurdles in an attempt to get the environment, soil, and everything else dialed in. But so far, my biggest producer has been an auto. Although, like you’ve heard, they are not as forgiving as the photos. On my third grow, I had a big battle with pH and while I was able to let the photos recover by letting them veg longer than planned, I wasn’t so fortunate with the autos.
You know it is funny everyone is always talking about testing PH and using all sorts of fertilizers etc. I have not done any of that at all. I think the last girls I grew, I maybe fed fertilizer once and it was maybe a teaspoon. I used only recharge, tap water and molasses. Same with this grow. Started with 2 bags of worm casings, 2 bags of perlite and a small bag of fox farms happy frog. Now just the recharge, water and molasses.
