Based on the previous pic, would anyone prune the bottom fan leaves that are completely shaded and already have established shoots?
Or just wait until they look bad?
Iād just let them die on their own. Wait until the plant get more height to start trimming.
Thanks. Iām in no hurry, but every time I go in there I lift a few above the rim of the pot - and I go in there a lot
They look really bushy and thick. Are they Autos? Keep on doing the LST as much as possible. It helps with airflow (really important). LST will help those lower leaves get some light and promote better growth in return.
Nah, just fem. My LST so far is just pushing down on the fan leaves, and helping anything "rise aboveā if itās ready. Sheās been doing pretty good on her own if you look at past pics, (which is why I havenāt done it that much) really reaching up and allowing light in.
Today I have a decision to make though. the big one is thirsty a day early but the fim attempt is still slightly heavy. I havenāt dug in there yet, but Iām betting it is still 'bottom-wet from the last feeding - and stunted root growth to repair fim.
So do I start 2 different schedules, or give the short shrub her nutes today anyway and worry about it during the āwater-onlyā next feeding?
Iām leaning towards nutes today, but less volume for shorty
But as with the leaf-snipping, I can easily be talked down from any ledge LOL
I was told that if they are getting in the way or blocking light then you can just snip half the leaf away like on a cloneā¦might help a tadā¦i may have to do that today her top is getting so crowded with the fan leaves that i cant keep pulling/pushing out the way
As for feeding you may have to start different schedules as you said one is bigger than tāother so she will want sooner. Im finding that also with my older girlā¦do you check your run off?
Iām lurking, I saw that too
very hesitant, not that worried about it. Iāll really get into the LST when I put her in flower. Hereās a nostalgia post from a month ago - bitchinā LOL
WHICH IS WHY I POST EVERYTHING HERE!!! Good reminder for patience, and not to be fooled if they look good right now. Nothing can screw them up quicker than human interaction!
Look how far your girls have come in a month! Its amazing to see isnt it!
Just make sure you go gently as iv seen too many snapped branches from doing it in flower that it makes my heart hurt a little be gentle to ya babies
I just made that up, but now Iām thinking about having T-shirts made! LOL
aint that the truth! Too much lovinā and your left with nuttināā¦
Other than a little gentle leaf nudging I havenāt done anything since the fim-miss
She will have needed that time to recover anyways so ya did good resisting
Im like you cant keep away but i must control myself at times
So you donāt have to scroll, this has been her ādefaultā position as long as she has water. her leaves actually providing shade today is what is prompting me to feed her. Listen to the plant!
Donāt get me wrong, sheās not drooping or anything, but she is talking, so Iām listening And the potās light. And she has taken to every nute feeding like a champ. The other one not so much.
Iād tie a string around the top and pull it sideways. Just a little. That will get those small branches reaching. my rule of thumbā¦if the potās light I water.
I thought about that, but which direction? LOL Sheās symmetrical as anything, and all sides are doing well - hence the no-touch policy on her as a control. I think that moving her feed-water schedule to exactly 3.5 days leans more towards that āby-the-bookā FF grow.
The fimmed one will get played with, and probably super-cropped.
Iād pull her in the direction in which the least harm could be done. And only slightly. Those bottom branches will find their way. Thats not an issue.
if it goes well using the FF schedule as is, my next nute purchase will probably be their Rasta line of stuff to try too - with all the money Iāll be saving on weed. LOL
