A 3x3 is what that will fit I have the same light. Works perfect.

@Mucluc oh awesome, we have the same light. I was thinking I’d like the shape of the 24 better but obviously if the light doesn’t fit then 33 it is. Do you have a preferred brand for tents or should I just go with whatever’s cheapest from the four I mentioned?

Black Friday will be under $100.
Funny story mine came and when I went to put it together they did t give me all the right poles for it to get put together. So I sent them pictures. They said toss it out and hey would refund my money. Instead of tossing it I fabricated the right poles and fixed it. My good fortune I guess.

@NewGrower31 If I may throw my 2c in, I started this new hobby building a homemade 2x3 tent. Loved growing and right away picked up a 2x4 tent. But found with both, they lack enough room for the other stuff besides the plants, like humidifier, heater, fans, etc. Of course a lot depends on what you need to dial in your environment and what equipment you buy, and of course what kind of room you have in your domicile for the tent. I grow in 5 gal pots, 2 in the smaller tent and 3 in the 2x4 so it can get a little crowded. I have used 3 gal pots but prefer the 5 gallon.
Just something to think about when you’re planning.

@d-Jawz Hey thank you, you 2cents is always welcome here friend. Heck I’ve also fallen in love with this hobby. I want to grow all kinds of stuff. If I had it my way I would have as much grow space as possible. However me, wife and cat. Are all moving into a 570sq ft studio apt soon. I’m probably gonna have to stick to a 3x3 for now, I haven’t seen the apartment yet. If I ever have the space I’m definitely getting some 5x5s lol.

@NewGrower31 Yep, just like when we bought this small house. Being empty nesters, we went small. I didn’t know then I needed to plan on room for grow tents 
My bedroom/lung room now contains 6 things. A king size bed, a tv stand/grow supply shelfs, a chair, & 3 tents. The dresser is in the closet. If I expand any more, I’ll have to take over the living room.
NOTE: If your’re needing a humidifier and room inside the tent is a factor, Vivosun has a nice one that sits outside the tent with hoses going in. It might be a bit pricey though. I try to stay as cheap as I can without going too low on quality. And I also try to stay away from digital. We have frequent power failures here and I have a few items that won’t self power back up afterwards, can’t deal with that noise.

@d-Jawz it’s good chatting with you. Yeah I’m excited to see the new place and get a better sense of how I can set up. I’m not on the lease so I didn’t go with when she looked and signed. I agree with balancing cost and quality. I’m a total tight wad. Ideally I wouldn’t need any more stuff and maybe I don’t “need” it, but I definitely have a strong desire for a few more things. In hindsight I sort of wish I would have just bought a full tent kit. The price tag just seemed like too much at the time. But honestly I’m getting up there in price as is. So anyway we’ll see where all this goes. Would love to have a huge garden one day.

I started with the tent and light. You can wait for the vent and filter till plants start to smell. So buy a piece each month or 2.
You can see in my tent the vent fan (it sits on top of the filter) circulation fan, humidifier (black in left front) I also have a small dehumidifier I use when needed. For a little more room you can mount the filter up top or outside the tent. I have had up to 3 plants in there at a time. (It was crowded) I like one big one at a time.

That’s been my problem. This next time, I’m going to grow 2 in the 2x4 instead of 3 now that I’ve gotten better at LST. I should be able to get the same or better yield.
I considered that too, but I’m picky about certain things and I was finding I didn’t like particular pieces of the kits. Either I wanted a better light, or the exhaust fan reviews were low, etc., or didn’t need all the items in the kit.

@Mucluc so as exciting as seeing the pistils on the one is. I just noticed these tiny white bugs on my plants. Currently googling what they might be. Maybe thrips. I was hoping I would get lucky with no pest my first grow. Damn this kind of sucks lol. I killed the 4 or so that I saw

Ok they looked like this. The one the arrow is pointed at most closely resembles the ones I saw, EXCEPT mine were white not green. They were crawling around the upper leaves of the plants.

That picture is from a university of Wisconsin website. The article is talking about aphids. But yeah I’ll try to grab picks if, more likely when I see them again. Would love advice on how to deal. What a kick in the pants. Maybe I’ll try coco next go round. Oh well dealing with pest is part of the fun, better to learn early.

When I have any type of bugs I always pick up these traps and stick them in the dirt or on the plants or up in the branches.
I also have a gallon of neem oil that I spray on the lower parts of the plant and dirt to kill any eggs or other bugs it gets on.
