1st Grow - ILGM GSE Autos + 1 random

@Ogeo19 I’m totally planning on topping at least 1 most likely 2 of these gals. Part of me wishes I did so when the 3-4 nods popped.

Worse case great practice.

I’m a new grower myself and just learning myself. With the numbers you’re at though I’d feed. If you look at your ppm numbers compared to the fox farms schedule you’re right in line with it. I started feeding mine when my numbers got down to that. It took me a few more weeks to drop to those numbers though. I started out at 1/4 strength and only got up to 1/2 strength. You’re growing in ffhf soil I thought, right?

The plants look great though!

I’ve never topped anything, but some folks here advise against topping autos. Some swear by it.
I figured first go around I’d stick with one method and try more next grow.

@Caveman86. Yea I was thinking along those lines, just need to let the data speak to whats needed. Makes perfect sense.

Yep, using FFHF soil. I’ll plan on qtr strength FF trio next water day. Will be a few days and those ppm will drop a bit more.

I have too many plants at the moment and plenty of seeds to toy with. So going to experiment with topping two of these gals over the weekend for science.

I appreciate the input yall!

I see that a couple of my ladies are close if not already at lock out range for PH. Any recommendations to help me increase soil PH?

@dbrn32 Hope ya dont mind me tagging you. Any feedback would be super welcomed.

The ladies after their first feeding.

I also noticed a couple of changes today; 1 the new leaves have changed shape, they seem much skinnier, 2 the nods look a lot busier, early sign of flowering maybe? Might just be the newb being overly excited, Pic below

Now that you are watering to runoff, every two days may be a little more frequent than needed. Check to see if your pots have dried out before watering/feeding.

As far as your leaves go, watch to see if start looking a little more natural. You are getting pretty rapid growth right now, so could be nothing and they may even out.

You have a few options to get your ph trending up. You have plenty of room to bring your ph up in your feedings and waterings, for time being i would set that more to something like 6.7. Also make sure it’s after nutrients if you’re not already. Distilled won’t adjust well on it’s own when trying to bring ph up on straight watering days either. So if you’re trying to do that, may be better to use something else or mix a little something in first. Another option would be to mix some gardening lime into top layer of your soil to help buffer the ph. This isn’t quick fix, but should help over time. The reasonable course of action would be to run a flush on the pots until runoff gets into target range. I’m pretty sure fox farm recommends doing it anyway a few times throughout the grow too.

I think they look pretty good though. Definitely have grown a lot in last 10 days. Keep up the good work!

@dbrn32 appreciate the quick response.

Totally agree about the water frequency, I was surprised with the bags light the bags weighted this AM and traveling for a couple days. Some thirsty gals. Working towards a every 4 days or so for water cycle.

Ah, I wasn’t to sure which ph to aim for to get the desired effect, good to know. I just read up on the flushing with FF, good call out.
I’ll prob test ph again in 4 day during watering. Water with ph 6.7 water and see where we stand. With a plan to flush after a few feedings.

Thanks again!

Solid plan. If things start to get a little sketchy just move flush up and reset with a moderate feeding at the end.

They ladies are vegging hard, so much growth. I find my self adjusting lst almost daily. The bright side, they are starting to take shape, most having a pretty uniformed style.

#2 still up in the air if this is a photo/auto. Guess time will tell.

Few pics from lights on and a minor lst session with #4

Day 25

The ladies are starting let off some sweet funky aromas.

#1 & #4 look to be in preflower, multiple lil hairs popping up on nods. Keeping an eye.

Checked bag weight, #3 and #4 are light and leaves telling me its water time. Both will get 1gal of distilled water ph @6.7.

Happy Growing!
