18/6 vs 9/3 lights. Theory

Fast harvest theory. I was doing another experiment so not verification yet. I was experimenting with 9/3 lights. I got the impression that a 9/3 light day was worth the same as a 18/6 light day, in relation to the 90 day life cycle. The last time the plant came in at 65 days.

For this experiment, I will be running 18/6 for the 1st 30 days. Then switch to 9/3. See if it comes in early. I did notice, on the original experiment, that 9/3 delayed the flowering. That’s why the initial 30 days will be with regular light.

I’ve got an auto flower that has been gown with a 6/2 light cycle from the start and it seems to be doing great!

Cannabis won’t start flowering until it’s sexually mature. This typically happens for photo periods around 4-6 weeks and autos sometimes around week 3. There are fast flowering strains out there but they’ve been genetically crossed for faster harvest times :love_you_gesture:

I run all of my autos on a 6/2 schedule from start to finish.
